I am a commerce graduate.. isn't it possible for me to do B.Ed. course online or correspondence without having in-service classroom experience?

1. No, BEd course is not only for service teachers.

2. Anyone who has completed 12th class in any discipline can get themself enrolled in BA+BEd course.

3. BEd alone can be pursued only after a graduation course from any recognised university.

4. Admission is based on merit as well as entrance test based.

The candidate should have completed a 12th with a minimum of 50-55% from any board. The candidate should have completed a graduation course with a minimum of 55% marks from any university. The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years old. The duration of the course is 2 years.

A candidate can apply for BEd distance education without teaching experience in India. The students who have completed their graduation degree and fulfill all other requirements asked can enroll. The duration of this course is 2 years to 4 years. Many colleges for distance BEd course demands teaching experience of about 1 to 2 years. Having teaching experience will benefit you in getting jobs after completing distance BEd. There are universities that offer distance BEd such as those given below.

--> Kurukshetra University, Directorate of Distance Education
--> Nagarjuna, Directorate of Distance Education
--> Indira Gandhi National Open University

B.Ed. stands for Bachelor of Education and it is professonal degree course required by those who are trying to make their career as a teacher.

Further, the minimum education required to pursue B.Ed. course is a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate (or 55% marks in aggregate in case of B.E./B.Tech degree holder) from a recognized university. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed in case of reserved category candidates.

So, being a commerce stream graduate, you can definitely pursue B.Ed. course in whichever mode you like provided you satisfy the eligibility requirement for the same degree as per the institute of your liking.
