Job opportunities in NTPC for MTech(Chemical Engineering) candidate:-

Currently the role of chemical engineers is very limited in NTPC. Only maintaining water chemistry and coal sampling analysis are the major job for chemical major which is handled by MSc ( Chemistry ) hired as assistant chemist . NTPC does not hire chemical engineering.
Only scope is in NTPC's research centre NETRA where you can carry out high temperature material research. Also NTPC is focusing in solar, you can look in that field also.

NTPC is considered as one of the best PSUs of our country and is given maharatna status because of its a high turnover.
You have to appear for GATE exam and score well in it. Then you need to apply for the vacancies in NTPC when the advertisement is made by NTPC. the advertisement is usually made in the leading newspapers at the official website of NTPC.

Currently the role of chemical engineer is very limited in NTPC. Only maintaining water chemistry and coal sampling and analysis are the major job for chemical measure which is handled by MSC chemistry hired as assistant chemist. NTPC does not hire chemical engineers.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
