Hello everyone, I would like to know about the pay scale in West Bengal Police for a Constable post. Can anyone of you let me know about the pay scale? I am going to apply for the same post but don’t know about the pay scale.

Pay Scale allotted to Constable in West Bengal Police is in the scale of Rs. 5,400 – 25,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,600/- per month. Candidate who have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent can apply for West Bengal Police Constable recruitment. The candidate must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language in order to be eligible.

The candidates will be in the pay band of Rs 5,400 to Rs 25,200 with a grade pay of Rs 2,600.

Education qualification: The candidates must have cleared (class 12) Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent qualification.

Age limit: Candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and should not cross 27 years of age as on January 1, 2019.
However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get an age relaxation of five years, three years for OBC candidates.

Pay scale allotted for West Bengal Police Constable recruitment is Rs. 5,400/- - Rs. 25,200/- (i.e. Pay Band – 2) + Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-.

In the beginning a Constable in West Bengal Police, may get an approximate salary of Rs. 5,000/- and above per month.

The salary will increase gradually according to the experience of the candidate and may range up to Rs. 25,000/- and above per month.
