Hello everyone, I am preparing for the Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination of JKPSC. This is the first time I am going to attend this competitive examination. I would like to know about the pattern of this competitive examination for this year. Can you please let me know about the pattern?

The pattern of JKPSC Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination 2021 is given below.

Exam pattern of Main

Language: English
Exam Mode: Offline
Type of questions: Descriptive (essay type)
Number of papers: 08
Duration: 03 hours each

Out of 8 papers one is of English language which is qualifying in nature. English language paper would be 300 marks. Rest 7 papers would 250 marks each.

--- The pattern of JKPSC Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination 2021---

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission exam will be divided into three phases---

PRELIMINARY EXAM--

It will consist of paper 1 and Paper 2 and each will have duration of 2 hours.
Total marks will be 450.

Mains Exam--

This exam will be consisting of descriptive type questions and there will be a total of nine papers in the mains exam out of which two papers will be of qualifying nature.
The medium of the question papers other than language papers will be English.
The mains exam will be carrying a total of 1750 marks.

The interview is conducted to basically judge the mental abilities of the applicants.

°°° Preliminary Exam

The exam will be conducted in English only.

Exam will start in offline mode and the essay will have target type questions and there will be two papers each exam time is 120 minutes.

Paper 1 will account for 200 marks and Paper 2 will also account for 200 marks.

°°° Mains Exam

There will be in English language only and will be commenced in offline mode and the paper will have descriptive type questions.

There will be 8 papers and duration will be 180 minutes each.

Paper 1 will be for 200 marks and Paper 2 will also be for 200 marks and English will be for 300 marks.

Paper 1 will be for 250 marks and Paper 2 will be for 250 marks and same till paper VII.
