I want to be an Air Hostess in future. I have always dreamed of becoming an Air Hostess. I want to fulfill my wish but my hieght is becoming a problem for me. I want to know what should be the minimum height for becoming an Air Hostess in Air India?

Minimum Height Required for Air Hostess in Air India:

Here are the basic Physical requirements required for an Air Hostess to work not only in Air India but also in most of the national airlines.

For Female Air Hostess - Height of 157.5 cms

For Male Air Hostess - Height of 163 cms

Generally Airlines want candidate's weight to be in the proportion to her/ his height. Minimum Age required for Air Hostess is 19 years and the maximum age must not exceed 27 years. The basic educational qualification required for Air Hostess post is "12th Class in 10+2 Pattern" from a recognized university. So make sure that your age is minimum 157.5 cms for Female and 163 cms for Male candidates in order to be eligible.

Candidates are required to complete 12th standard or graduation degree from a recognized board or university to become an Air Hostess.

Your age should be below 25 years.

The minimum height required for the candidates is 156cms. Your eye sight must be in 6/6 without glasses.

The requirements needed to become Air hostess in Air India is given below :

* Candidate's age should be in the range of 18-24 years.

* Candidate should have completed their 10+2 or its equivalent.

* Candidates who have completed their graduation with specialization in Tourism and Hotel management are preferred.

* Candidate should speak fluently in English and Hindi and other foreign languages will be an added advantage

* Candidates minimum height should be 157.5 centimeters.

* Candidates weight should be in proportion to their height.

* Candidate should be physically fit.

The rules for joining Air India as Air Hostess is as below:

1. For 18 years old Air Hostess,

Minimum Height: 152 cm.

Maximum permissible weight: 50 kg.

2. For Air Hostess in age group: 26-30 years.

Minimum Height: 152 cm.

Maximum permissible weight: 56 kg.

So, minimum height required is 152 cm.

Minimum height for the Air Hostess in Air India
Age limit is 19 to 27 years
Minimum qualification is 10+2 for eligible to apply for Air Hostess.
Minimum height required in Indian Airlines is 5'2".
You should be Physically fit.
Candidate's weight to be in proportion to her height.

The minimum height for the air hostess in Air India is 157.5 centimeters. So you must be 157.5 cm tall for being air hostess in Air India. Also your weight should be in correct proportion to height. You must have to qualify at least 12th standard from any affiliated school.

For Male - Height of 163 cms
