A BSc in fashion design is a regular degree like other BSc degrees. However, it is not a professional degree, so it is not automatically applicable for government jobs.

To be eligible for government jobs, you typically need to have a professional degree, such as a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech). However, there are some government jobs that do accept BSc degrees, such as those in the fashion industry.

For example, the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) does accept BSc degrees for some of its jobs, such as those in the Department of Textiles and Handlooms. The Bank of India also accepts BSc degrees for some of its jobs, such as those in the Retail Banking Division.

However, it is important to check the eligibility criteria for each government job that you are interested in. Some jobs may require a specific specialization in fashion design, such as textile design or fashion marketing.

If you are interested in a career in fashion design, then a BSc degree can be a good way to start. However, you should also consider getting a professional degree, such as a Master of Fashion Design (MFD), if you want to be eligible for the most government jobs.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
