Can I get admission in any government college if scored 61 marks in JEE Mains and expecting 85% in 12th CBSE?
Hello
I have got 61 marks in JEE Main and expect 85% in CBSE XII. Is there any possibility getting admission in Govt colleges on the basis of JEE rank. Also I have heard the in places like Odisha, vacant seats are offered to JEE ranks holders. |

Cut-off marks required for government college vary year by year.
The cut-off marks do not remain the same as it is dependent on the performance of students appeared in that particular year. But according to the analysis of past years, the cut-off for admission in government engineering colleges should be 155-170 marks. Yes, you can surely get admission in government colleges on the basis of JEE rank. It's not such that vacant seats are provided to JEE rank holders only. The seats is for any candidate who is eligible to acquire it. |

Quote:
VIT, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Thapar University, AMU....etc which conduct there own test as well. Among them, I have also heard about LPU giving scholarship to students who are academically good. So, just visit their website in order to know about the details regarding eligibility criteria, placements, admission procedure, fee structure... etc. |

It depends on the cut off marks given for your category and weightage of your class 12 marks considered..On the basis of your jee score ,if you have qualified at jee mains level ,then with your class 12 percentage you may get admission in government college but your category also plays a major role here ....
