Dear Sir/Madam, I have completed my MA in English Honours and now studying in BEd. This is my 3rd semester. I want to apply in CTET recruitment of this year. Can I do this? I would like to know I am eligible or not. Waiting for your response!

Eligibility to appear in CTET:-

Applicant must have passed senior secondary passed or its equivalent with at least 50% marks.

They must secure at least 45% marks in higher secondary exam and should have passed the final exam of 2nd year diploma in elementary education.

They must be appearing for or have passed the final year of four year bachelor of elementary education.

According to my knowledge appearing candidates are eligible to apply for CTET entrance test.
If you are applying for this entrance exam then you must have to complete B.Ed degree before joining as because it is compulsory.

Minimum educational qualifications for becoming teacher for classes 1th - 5th

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year diploma in elementary education.

Or

Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE.

Or

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of education.



Minimum educational qualification for becoming teachers for Elementary School:

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year diploma in elementary education.

Or

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 2 year Bachelor in education.

Eligibility to appear in CTET for B.Ed 3rd semester student are mentioned below:-
Candidate must have completed bachelors's degree with at least 50% aggregate from a recognised university.
Candidate must have completed 1-year in B.Ed.

Eligibiliy to appear in CTET for B.Ed 3rd semester students:-

No, pursuing B.Ed candidate are not eligible for CTET exam.

As to appear for examination minimum required qualification is candidate must have passed B.Ed course from any recognised University.

So, you will be eligible to appear for examination after completing your course.

CTET examination is conducted twice every year.
