Eligibility to appear in SSC CGL exam for History graduate of IGNOU?
Respected Sir, I have done Graduation with 53% in History Honours from IGNOU. Can I give SSC CGL exam? I am interested to apply in this recruitment. But I don't know my eligibility. Please let me know about this asap.

Yes, any graduate can apply for SSC CGL. Just make sure you have got a degree with minimum pass marks from a recognized university in India. IGNOU is a recognized distance mode university, hence no need to worry about anything.
You need to apply for posts which ask for any stream degree. There are some posts in SSC CGL which will ask for specialised degree, and you may not be eligible for such posts. |

The acronym SSC CGL stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level examination.
Eligibility criteria for SSC CGL examination: Academic qualification: Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Final year graduates can also apply. The minimum age limit is 18 years. History graduates of IGNOU are eligible to apply for the SSC CGL 2019 recruitment. |

Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level criteria:
1. Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. History graduates of Indira Gandhi National Open University candidates can apply for SSC CGL exam. 2. Passing percentage of marks is minimum criteria. Notification is expected to be released in March 2019. |

The basic qualifications required to apply for SSC CGL examination are ad below :-
You must have the citizenship of India. Your age must lie within 18 years to 30 years. However, the age limit for some posts do vary in the range of 18 years to 32 years. But, age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category in each case as per government norms. * You must have completed your graduation degree course in any discipline from a recognised university. Students pursuing final year of their graduation degree are also eligible. So, having completed your graduation i.e; History (Hons.) degree course from IGNOU which is a recognised university, you are eligible to apply for SSC CGL as far as the educational requirement for the same examination is concerned. Being a History graduate of IGNOU, you can apply for SSC CGL exam. Candidates who have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent are eligible to appear for SSC CGL exam. You should be in the age group of 18 to 32 years as on 1st August 2018 to be eligible to apply for SSC CGL exam. Relaxations in upper age limit is applicable for respective category as per government norms.

Candidate must have completed their Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate from a recognised university of India. |
