Hi friends, I want to secure admission in Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology for studying BTech(Mechanical Engineering) course. Kindly tell me what is the eligibility criteria for studying this course in this institute. Waiting for you response!

<> Duration of the course - 2 years

<> You must have passed HSC (Academic)/ CSBE or Pre-Degree - Plus 2 level or its equivalent with minimum eligibility marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

<> And you must have gone through ant of the below mentioned curriculum with marks as prescribed below.
@ Pass with minimum eligibility marks in one of the HSC (Vocational stream) with Engineering or Technology as Vocational subjects and

Eligibility criteria to study B.Tech Mechanical Engineering in Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology :

>>You should have passed 10+2 from the recognized board in Physics, Maths and chemistry.

>> There is a percentage criteria about 45 % in 10+2 and for reserved candidates percentage criteria will be around 40%.

>> There is an option to opt for B.tech Mechanical Engineering in Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Tcehnology which is lateral entry.

For this you must have passed diploma examination with 45% of marks.

B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering course. The required eligibility to study BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology is the candidate should have passed 12th class with physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from a recognized board. The minimum percentage required in the 12th class to get admission in Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is 50%. If you want to secure admission in Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology for studying B.Tech in (Mechanical Engineering) course then you must have passed 10+2 (Academic) or its equivalent must have scored above 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

Entrance Exam - You need to qualify the All-India Engineering Entrance Examination exam with good marks to secure admission.
