Entrance exams to study BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in IIT Madras? Cutoff score required to secure admission?
Hello friends, I am interested in studying BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in IIT Madras. So, I want to know what are the entrance exams available for getting admission and studying BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in this university? Kindly tell me about the cutoff score also.

1.JEE Main 2.JEE Advanced. 3.AAT Score. Cutoff score for male candidates : 722-1891 Cutoff score for female candidates : 2721-4635 |

Yes, Entrance examination is available to study BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras. Admission selection will be on the basis of the score obtained in JEE Main or JEE Advanced followed by counseling. The cutoff marks varies every year and also depends on the number of candidates appearing for the test.
The educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed 10+2 in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with a minimum score of 75% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. I am also giving you the institute website link for your reference that is www.iitm.ac.in |

Admission is through JOSAA councelling based on rank obtained in JEE Advanced...
Cutoff JEE Advanced General cateogary. 89.75 EWS 78.21 OBC 74.31

Entrance exams to study BTech(Mechanical Engineering) in IIT Madras can be seen below.
Admission will be done through JEE Advance examination. You must have minimum score of 97 percentile in order to get admission.
