I am interested in appearing in the JEE Main of 2021 for BTech admission. But I don’t know about the pattern of this entrance exam. I would like to know about the pattern of this test so that I can get admission in a BTech course.

The examination pattern of JEE Main 2021 are given below.

Mode of Examination - Computer Based Test and Drawing Test of JEE Main Paper II (BArch) will be on Pen and Paper mode
Time Duration - 3 Hours
Language Medium - Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English and Gujarati
Papers - JEE Main Paper I for BE/BTech course, JEE Main Paper II & III for BArch & BPlan course.
Questions Type - Objective Types and in JEE Main II there will be Drawing Test
Number of Questions -

JEE Main Paper I (BE/BTech course) - 90 Questions
JEE Main Paper II (BArch course) - 82 Questions
JEE Main Paper III (BPlan course ) - 105 Questions

Total Marks -

JEE Main Paper I (BE/BTech course) - 300 Marks
JEE Main Paper II (BArch course) - 400 Marks
JEE Main Paper III (BPlan course ) - 400 Marks

Marking Pattern - For Every Correct Answer 4 Marks and For Every Incorrect Answer 1 Mark will be deducted

Examination pattern of JEE Main 2021 is given below :-

Here are some of the major changes in the exam pattern :-
A.This year, the number of questions have been increased.

B.Out of 90 questions, the candidates can answer any 75 questions.

C.Section B in each subject will have 10 questions out of which the candidates can answer five.

D.There will be no negative marking in Section B.

E.JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in 13 languages.

Examination pattern of JEE Main 2021:-

Mode of Exam:-
JEE main will be held through online CBT mode. The drawing test of JEE Main paper 2 (B.Arch )will be held in pen and paper mode.


Time Duration:-
3 hours will be provided to complete the paper in case of PWD candidate with 40% desirability, 1 hour will be provided extra for completing the paper.

Language Medium:-
Students will be able to attempt the paper in Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu in addition in Hindi, English and Gujarati.


Paper:-
For BE / BTech course, JEE Main paper - 1 will be conducted. While for B.Arch and B.an admission, JEE Main paper -'2 and JEE Main paper - 3 will be held.

Questions Type:-
The questions present in the paper will be of objective type. While the drawing test in JEE Main paper 2 will be of subjective type.

The total number of questions in JEE Main paper - 1 ( BE/B.Tech) - 90% questios.
JEE Main paper - 2 ( B.Arch) - 82 questoons.
JEE Main paper - 3 (B.Plan) - 105 questions.


Total Marks:-
JEE Main paper - 1(BE/BTech) will be of total 300 marks.
JEE Main paper - 2 and 3 forcB.Arch/ B.Plan will be of total 400 marks.


Marking Pattern:-
For every correct answer 4 marks will be given, for every incorrect response, 1 mark will get deducted.

3 hours will be provided to complete the paper and in case of physically challenged candidates 1 hour will be given extra.

Students will be able to attempt the paper in Assamese / Bengali / Kannada / Malayalam / Marathi / Odia / Punjabi / Tamil / Telugu / Urdu in addition to Hindi / English and Gujarati.

The questions present in the paper will be of objective type and also as per the latest changes in the pattern of the exam there will be questions in which answers are to be made in numerical values.
In paper 2, questions will be subjective type.

JEE Main paper 1 will be of total 300 marks and JEE Main paper 2 and 3 for Bachelor of architecture and bachelor of planning will be of total 400 marks.

For every correct answer 4 marks will be given and for every incorrect response 1 mark will get inducted.

Examination pattern of JEE Main 2021 can be seen below.

The paper will have a total of 90 questions in which 25 each from from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

You have to attempt only 75 questions.

Each subject will have 20 MCQs which are compulsory and 10 numerical questions, here 5 out of 10 numerical questions are optional.

Numerical questions don't have any negative marking.

JEE Main 2021 for paper 1 (B.Tech) will be conducted for 300 marks.

For every correct answer 4 marks will be given and for every incorrect response one mark will be deducted.
