Is maths compulsory for pursuing BA Economic(honours)?


I m in 12th standard (commerce) n I want to take economic honours from b.a stream..Am I eligible to take it...and my optional subject is fine arts

Qualification required for BA Economic Honours is, you must have 12th passed with minimum 45% marks from a recognized university.

The duration of this course is 3 years.

Mathematics is compulsory for pursuing BA Economic Honours in every college of Delhi University, it varies from university to university. The minimum educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream with a minimum score of 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Some colleges prefer students who have Economics as one of the major subjects in their 10+2 standard. Admission selection may be done on the basis of entrance test scores or merit-based, depending on the college admission criteria.

1. You should have Mathematics in your 12th class as a main subject to study this course.

2. Course Admission Process - Merit Based / Entrance Exams.

Yes, maths is compulsory for pursuing a BA in Economics (honors). So, the candidate should have studied mathematics in the 11th and 12th classes from any board to pursue BA Economic(honors) in India. The duration of the course is three years.

There is no age limit to pursue this course.

The basic eligibility criteria required to apply for pursuing BA in Economics (Honors) is given below,

>> Candidates must have completed 12th class from a recognized board or institute to be eligible.

>> The minimum percentage required in 12th class is 45% marks

>> I don't think Mathematics is required to be eligible in 12th grade. Hence I can say that you are eligible for this course.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to BA Honours economics is that a candidate must pass 12th with 45% aggregate marks. The admission is on the basis of marks scored in class 12th in best four subjects. The criteria for best four subject is as follows:-
>The candidate must learnt one language and 3 best academic subjects
>The candidate must have studied and passed mathematics read the qualifying exam for admission to BA Honours in economics

Thus, it is compulsory that you must have studied and passed in mathematics in plus two level

Yes, maths is compulsory for pursuing BA Economic (honours) from any college.

Minimum Eligibility - A Higher Secondary Certificate qualification from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate marks of 45%.

The eligibility to get admission in B.A Economics honours course is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board with Mathematics as main paper.
