The procedure to join in ITI is:

# Candidate should have completed 10th from a recognized school board of education with Maths, Physics, Chemistry as core subjects.

# There is no specific percentage which is needed and the maximum age limit is 23 years.

The duration of the trade/course may vary from one year to three years, depending on the field chosen.

The trades in ITI are classified into several training schemes such as Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) and the Apprenticeship Training Scheme (ATS).

The candidate who successfully completes the training under CTS and ATS, they are qualified to appear in the All India Trade Test (AITT) conducted by NCVT (National Council for Vocational training).

This test is conducted twice a year, such as on October/ November and April/May. The candidates who successfully pass out AITT, are awarded the National Trade Certificate (NTC).

I.T.I stands for the Institutional Training Institute. The eligibility to get the admission in the ITI is :-

* Candidate must have passed the 10th from the recognized board.

To get the admission in the government institutions or for the private institutions you need to appear for the examination and qualify in it. It is two year course and after the training there are many chance of recruitment in the :-
* Railway.
* Electricity department.
* Industries etc...
