I want to know about the percentage or rank to be achieved in AIMPT for getting merit seat in AIIMS. Please help me with the information.

AIIMS have their own entrance exam and they don't give admission through AIPMT. You have to appear for the entrance exam which is conducted every year and notification for it comes mostly in the month of March. Exam is usually held in the June month.

There are new AIIMS also established few years ago apart from Delhi. Admission will be done through rank in entrance exam and seats allotted through counselling.

AIPMT stands for All India Pre Medical Test. It is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education.

The rank secured in AIPMT exam is not applicable for getting admission in All India Institute of Medical Science. AIIMS conducts its own entrance exam.

You must apply for AIIMS entrance exam to get admission in MBBS course in AIIMS exam. Notification for 2016 exam is yet to be released.

But to get admission in AIIMS you have to qualify in entrance examination conducted by AIIMS for admission in there own institute. The application form for AIPMT examination is available now at www.aipmt.nic.in.

But notifications for AIIMS MBSS is not released yet for 2016 examination.

AIPMT stands for All India Pre Medical Test and it a medical entrance examination held for the selection of undergraduate medical courses from government medical colleges which are aided by Central Government and State Government both.

But, AIIMS stands for All Indian Institute of Medical Science which too is the best government medical college of India but for admission in these for MBBS course one needs to clear AIIMS MBBS entrance examination.

--> Also for appearing in the same examination you need to have the qualifications mentioned here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination. Also age relaxation of 5 years are provided to reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

* You must have either completed or must be in the final year of your higher secondary school degree course with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your main subjects with a minimum of 60% marks ( in case of reserved category candidates marks must not be below 50% ) in each from a recognized board of education.

Rank in AIPMT examination does not matter to get admission in AIIMS ( All India Institute of Medical Science ).

To get admission in AIIMS you have to qualify in examination conducted by AIIMS every year. Through AIPMT you are eligible to get admission in other government colleges in MBBS, BDS courses after 10+2.
