Preparation of these can't be done in one day or one week (as my teacher say, which is indeed true) . U have to follow some basic study plan. 1. Finish all the NCERT books 2. Solve the all the recent Olympiads papers (either download these papers from net or purchase MTG/Arhinat books) 3. Refer Good magazine like Chemistry Today/Chemistry spectrum 4. Keep in regular touch with your faculty. Although it's very tough exam to clear but not impossible, with through preparation u can easily clear it. I have cleared Olympiad with my help of Prof. PKB @Vidyalankar classes (good teacher and good mentor..really awesome). |

Hi dear, for the preparation of mathematics and science( physics/ chemistry) Olympiad, you have to do nothing special.For the preparation of above mentioned exam, you should read the syllabus math , physics and chemistry of +2 thoroughly. The objective questions comes in the exam.I want to advice that Olympiad preparation is same as the preparation of IIT JEE. Study material? well, i presume you are telling that these Olympiads are of national level. anyways Olympiads are usually conducted according to your class, ie, these exams cover the syllabus of you annual. and since science and maths topics are almost same for all the Syllabus, you can just be thorough in your school portion. and you know cover the main topics, like in physics, it could be electricity and magnetism, maths it cud be algebra, trignometry, probability, chemistry it cud be some general equations. |

It has opened its very first branch in Greater Noida by the name of LUMINATE IIT JEE. The best part is all their faculty members are IITIANS and it is being run by IITIANS. My child was really impressed by their teaching methodology. Keep it up ! |

Anyways, olympiads are usually conducted according to your class, i.e, these exams cover the syllabus of the class in which you are studying. Since science and maths topics are almost same for all the boards, you should just be thorough in your school portion. You Should cover each & every topic but focus on the main topics, like in: physics, it could be electricity and magnetism, maths it cud be algebra, trignometry, probability, chemistry it cud be some general equations. |

Maths and science olympiads are generally held at school level....Though the standard of questions in maths and science olympiad is higher than the school level..it is basically +2 level...So you need to have good knowledge about square roots,integration and differentiation...A vedic mathematics book will help you in solving questions quickly.. But I cant fetch much details for you as you haven't mentioned the level of your Olympiads. I mean weather you are appearing for RMO, INMO or IMO because all of them are of different difficulty level and has different pattern. The time when I had appeared for RMO there was 8 questions which has to be solved in 3 hours. National one is also more or less of same Difficulty level, while International was very typical one as we got only 30 minutes. However, to the best of my knowledge following books are best ones as I have also refered to them:- C. R. Pranesachar, S. A. Shirali, B. J. Venkatachala, and C. S. Yogananda, Mathematical Challenges from the Olympiads, Prism Books Pvt. Ltd. [It cotains previous year solved papers] C. R. Pranesachar, B. J. Venkatachala, and C. S. Yogananda, Problem Primer for the Olympiad, Prism Books Pvt. Ltd. An Excursion in Mathematics, of M. R. Modak, S. A. Katre, V. V. Acharya. Beside, these if you really want to crack Olympiads then you can also enroll with FITJEE training program for Olympiads. Even if you dont managed to get there try to get study Material if possible.
