How to prepare for science and maths olympiad exam?What to study for it and from where will I get the study material for it?

Generally these exam have contains basics throughout the all subject. So getting good marks in this kinds of exam you need to clear your basics first.

For clearing basics there are many books and study material available in the market. Otherwise you can download many ebooks avail on the internet.
The main key to get good score is to command on science subject. these were considerd as more as you can give good answer.

Dear friend

for the preparation of mathematics and science( physics/ chemistry) Olympiad,

you have to do nothing special.For the preparation of above mentioned exam,

you should read the syllabus math , physics and chemistry of +2 thoroughly.

The objective questions comes in the exam.I want to advice that Olympiad

preparation is same as the preparation of IIT JEE.

So , you can get the study materials from various of cochin institute that

are as follows:

1.Brilliant Tutorial

2.FIIT JEE

3.Resonance

4.BANSAL classes. KOTA

The olympiad exams are considered to be very tough and only rigourous preparation can help you cracking it. Its said that if you are well versed with olympiad level problems then you wont find any problem in cracking IIT JEE,AIEEE and other exams

You can take coaching for IIT JEE which in otherway coaches you for olympiads. Make your basics clear. Buy the books by MTG which are specially made for olympiad aspirants.

For cracking the olympiad you have to work hard because this is very tough exam than IITJEE. So you can take coaching for it, otherwise you will collect all the study materials from the internet for the preparation for it.
For science and mathematics you can follow the IIT question bank and reference books available in the market.

Well dear first of all Congrats that you have made to Olympiads.

But I cant fetch much details for you as you haven't mentioned the level of your Olympiads. I mean weather you are appearing for RMO, INMO or IMO because all of them are of different difficulty level and has different pattern.

The time when I had appeared for RMO there was 8 questions which has to be solved in 3 hours. National one is also more or less of same Difficulty level, while International was very typical one as we got only 30 minutes.

However, to the best of my knowledge following books are best ones as I have also refered to them:-

C. R. Pranesachar, S. A. Shirali, B. J. Venkatachala, and C. S. Yogananda, Mathematical Challenges from the Olympiads, Prism Books Pvt. Ltd. [It cotains previous year solved papers]

Beside, these if you really want to crack Olympiads then you can also enroll with FITJEE training program for Olympiads. Even if you dont managed to get there try to get study Material if possible. It would be very helpful.

Maths and science olympiads are generally held at school level....Though the standard of questions in maths and science olympiad is higher than the school level..it is basically +2 level...So you need to have good knowledge about square roots,integration and differentiation...A vedic mathematics book will help you in solving questions quickly..

You have not mentioned your class. So it is bit difficult to provide exact information.

Anyways, olympiads are usually conducted according to your class, i.e, these exams cover the syllabus of the class in which you are studying. Since science and maths topics are almost same for all the boards, you should just be thorough in your school portion.

You Should cover each & every topic but focus on the main topics, like in:
physics, it could be electricity and magnetism,
maths it cud be algebra, trignometry, probability,
chemistry it cud be some general equations.

to prepare for olympiad first of all you need to go through deeply to NCERT books. secondly you can subcribe some magazines and some websites for good questions Try to solve the problems of IIT JEE exams which will give you very much help in your preparation for olympiad

In order to prepare for science and maths olympiad exam better bring bansal coaching iit jee mock test papers if you are able to solve its paper completely then you have more chance to crack science and maths olympiad exam.
