Re: Minimum qualification required to apply for GATE? Graduate aptitude test for engineering GATE is an entrance examination which is conducted by the IITs every year. This examination is conducted for the admission in various IITs NITs and top engineering colleges for the M.tech course. The basic eligibility criteria for this exam is, to have a bachelor degree in engineering of four years duration in any branch or master degree in science section from a recognised university with good percentile. |

Re: Minimum qualification required to apply for GATE? GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This Exam is being conducted once in a year by IITs to give admission for the candidates for M.Tech course. Here is the minimum qualification required for this Exam. -Candidates who have completed B.Tech course can give this Exam. -Candidates who are pursuing final year of B.Tech course are also eligible to give this Exam. -No upper age limit at all in giving this exam for the candidates. -There is no limit on the number of attempts for this exam. The validity of the GATE score card is for 2 years. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, I suggest you to have good preparation for this exam and crack it. For this academic year, the GATE Exam was already over. Wish you all the best. |

Re: Minimum percentage in b.e for applicable for gate hello sir, what is the minimum percentage in B.E for applicable for giving gate exam..? i noted that many students are applying forms for gate exam..but very few out of them are qualified..can u say me..what is the reason..except that they do not clear all the subject under their graduation..?? |

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an entrance exam conducted by IIT and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs etc. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech. Engineering Degree in any stream from a recognised University. Thre is no upper age limit for application to GATE. |

Re: Minimum qualification required to apply for GATE? hai friend, The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE: * Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2)/Computer application and those who are in the final year of such programmes. * Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. The examination is of three hour duration with patterns and syllabus varying from paper to paper. The exam is conducted in two modes - offline and online. All the best. |

After having a valid GATE score you can also apply for the govt jobs of your stream as most govt jobs require a valid GATE score for you to be eligible to sit for those exams. If you can get a Good rank, say about 100 then you can pursue M.Tech from the IITs, NITs, etc which will be great for your career ahead. Best of Luck!!! |

Courses in IITs and NITs etc. The candidate must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final B.Tech Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University with no age limit is eligible to apply for GATE. But only thing is the questions are very tough SO it is very difficult to clear the GATE exam. Only with the proper training and practice you may clear the exam The application form is Rs.1000. If you got the college through the GATE exam then you will get the stipend amount from the government. |

GATE stands for Graduation Aptitude Test for Engineering. -it is conducted every year for taking admission in M.TECH. - you can apply in final year. - GATE score only valid for 1 year. - There is no limit in how many years to complete engineering. - there is no cut off in percentage to apply for the gate exam - there is no age limit for applying for gate exam . - though gate exam you get admission in IIT AND NIT COLLEGES AND SEVERAL OTHER COLLEGES . - to take admission in IIT OR NIT COLLEGES you need to score above 99 percentile . - to clear gate exam you should have good knowledge of your subjects . - join a gate forum for good preparation . From 2012 pre-final year student can not apply for the GATE EXAM ,only final year student can apply for it. All the best.. |

Re: Minimum qualification required to apply for GATE? Dear friend , GATE exam is meant for doing M.Tech after you complete your b.tech. In order to appear for this exam you have to be through with your B.Tech subjects and maths .GATE exam is quite a tough exam. So in order to appear for this exam you should br well prepared. The minimum criteria that you require to appear for the gate exam is : 1. Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized college. There is no age limit in GATE . Candidate can also appear in gate exam when he/she is in pre-final year of graduation as the score of the GATE exam is valid for two years. GATE exam also doesn't require your graduation marks. So all you have to do is to prepare thoroughly for the exam. All the Best. |

Final year and Pass-out students of Engineering are eligible. 2. Students having Master degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Computers are eligible to appear in this exam. Students of final year can also apply for the GATE examination. GATE doesn't bother about the following criteria:- 1. Your percentage of marks in Graduation. 2. Upper age limit. 3. Hi dear, The educational qualification required to apply for GATE is Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture of four year duration after 10+2(Science). Those who are in Final year or Pre-final year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch., are also eligible to apply. Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications. Those who are in Final year or Pre-final year, are also eligible to apply. Candidates who are in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree program (after B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree program and Dual Degree program in Engineering/Technology are eligible to apply. Candidates who have obtained qualifications through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.
