Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture of four year duration

Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications.

Candidates who are in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated

Candidates who have obtained qualifications through examinations conducted by
professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE
(e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I))
as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.
Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional
courses are also eligible.

GATE examination is the examination for engineering students conducted every year for the M.Tech course. The students of final year and pre final year of engineering are eligible for this exam. The complete eligibility criteria required for this exam is mentioned below:

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

2.Students having Master degree in any branch of science/mathematics/computers are eligible for this exam. Students of final year and Pre final year can apply for the GATE examination.


AGE LIMIT:
There is no bar in the age limit for the GATE examination. Candidates of final year and Pre final year of engineering are eligible for this exam.

if you want to write GATE then you need to at least finish or be in final year of your engineering/architecture after your 10+2..
there is no cut off for appearing the GATE but you need to clear all your arrears before you join any of the institution after getting qualified....
so don't worry much about the qualification friend...you need to focus hard to prepare for GATE....wish you all the best....

GATE exams are conducted by IIT for the selection of students to do ME / MTech .
The minimum qualification is that a student should be an engineering or agriculture or information graduate.

For this year, GATE 2011 is scheduled on 13th Feb'2011.

candidate should be in final or prefinal year of Engineering.
Also the candidates who have completed Master's in relevant subjects(all technical subjects and mathematics) can also apply.
The candidate should be pursuing his studies in AICTE/UGC recognised

GATE exam is meant for doing M.Tech after you complete your b.tech. In order to appear for this exam you have to be through with your B.Tech subjects and maths .GATE exam is quite a tough exam. So in order to appear for this exam you should br well prepared.

The minimum criteria that you require to appear for the gate exam is :
1. Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized college.

There is no age limit in GATE . Candidate can also appear in gate exam when he/she is in pre-final year of graduation as the score of the GATE exam is valid for two years. GATE exam also doesn't require your graduation marks.

So all you have to do is to prepare thoroughly for the exam.

GATE stands for Graduation Aptitude Test for Engineering.


-it is conducted every year for taking admission in M.TECH.

- you can apply in final year.

- GATE score only valid for 1 year.

- There is no limit in how many years to complete engineering.

- there is no cut off in percentage to apply for the gate exam

- there is no age limit for applying for gate exam .

- though gate exam you get admission in IIT AND NIT COLLEGES AND SEVERAL OTHER COLLEGES .

- to take admission in IIT OR NIT COLLEGES you need to score above 99 percentile .

- to clear gate exam you should have good knowledge of your subjects .

- join a gate forum for good preparation .

From 2012 pre-final year student can not apply for the GATE EXAM ,only final year student can apply for it.

For the GATE exam, only the engineering students can apply.

But only thing is the questions are very tough SO it is very difficult to clear the GATE exam.
Only with the proper training and practice you may clear the exam
The application form is Rs.1000.
If you got the college through the GATE exam then you will get the stipend amount from the government.

If you have entered into MBA after your btech then you can apply for gate.

It does not have any age limits.And it is conducted all over the world.
