Re: Details regarding KAS exam? Hi friend, The candidates who have completed their graduation are eligible to apply for the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS). This exam is conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) every year for GROUP I and GROUP II posts in Karnataka. The details regarding this exam is given below: Education Qualification: The minimum education qualification required for this exam is graduation. Candidates having higher qualification are also eligible. Examination Scheme The Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) examination is conducted in three phases: 1. Preliminary Examination This examination is based on objective type questions. The preliminary examination consist of two papers . Paper 1 General Studies and is of 150 marks. Paper 2 In paper 2 candidate has to select one optional subject for the paper 2. The paper2 is of 300 marks. The list of optional subjects can be obtained from the official web site of KPSC which is http://kpsc.kar.nic.in/ 2. Main Examination The main examination consist of eight papers. Paper 1 The paper 1 is on Kannada and is of 150 marks. Paper 2 The paper 2 is on English and General Studies is of 150 marks. Paper 3 and 4 In paper 3 and 4 one subject is to be selected from the list of optional subjects and is of 300 marks for each paper . Paper 5,6,7 and 8 In paper 5,6,7 and 8 each subject will have two papers and is of 300 marks for each paper. KAS examination is the examination conducted by Karnataka Public Service commission. the examination is for Karnataka Administration services(KAS). the details about the KAS examination is given in the website http://www.jkpsc.org/ here i am attaching the syllabus of KAS examination as an attachment. go through on this. there is one departmental KAS and other is J & K Combined Services Competitive Examination (KAS). in the website details about the both type of examination is given. |
