Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

dear friend,
As you have secured 55% marks in graduation then you are not eligible to appear in the campus drive of leading software companies..

Because they mention 60% aggregate through out the career in their eligibility list..
So, sorry to say you that you are not eligible..
But you can go for small It companies, where no such percentage criteria is mention..
You can apply for a job in those companies..
After gather few years of experience you can apply for a job to those giant IT companies..Because experience matters a lot.
All the best.

dear friend,
your percentage in b.tech is very less. so you will not be getting any campus placements. to become a software engineer, you can do various computer courses from private institutions. your command on programming languages should be great to become a computer engineer.
and try to increase your typing speed on keyboard also.

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

hi dear
the minimum % you require for a good job through campus is 60%
since you don't have this much so you have to search a job for yourself through tha vacancies that are been announced regularly...

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

hi raj. 55 percentage of ur mark is enough to become a software engineer. Certain IT companies set 60 percent for appearing eligible test, i request u to submit ur resume in naukri.com, because many ITcompanies go through this site for recruitment. But u hav to improve ur programming language skills for becomming a good software er. all thebest friend.

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

hi dear

your percentage in B.TECH is low

but you do not worry about this some problem arises when you seat
good company they ask your peercentage
but you first go for some software course outside
like bangalore ,delhi,hydrabad

course like:--

SOFTWARE TESTING
JAVA
.NET

ETC.

THEN YOU GO FOR JOB THAT WILL HELP YOU .................

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

With 55% marks in B.tech,no company will recruit. So as you want to become a software Engineer, take Oracle,Java software programme course in good tranning Institute, which having good placement records. And work hard in those course.Definitely you can become a software Engineer.

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

most of the leading software company give eligibility criterion that candidates should have minimum of 60% marks through out their career to appear in their recruitment process.

but unfortunately you don't have 60% marks in B.Tech. it means you will not be eligible for leading IT company. but don't worry there are so many company also for which there are no minimum marks criterion. you will be eligible foe this type of company. try to find any small and new software company so that you can start your career. after few years of experience try to shift in other large company with your experience.

but now you should have very good knowledge in programming and other software related subject to become a software engineer. try to learn more programming language and also do some software related project. these will help you a lot to get a job in software field.

best of luck.

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?

You just secured 55% in your B.Tech which makes you not eligible to appear for on campus recruitment drives conducted by several IT companies.

Because the minimum educational qualification that a candidate need to possess in order to appear for the recruitment drive of IT companies is career 60.

Career 60 in the sense you need to secure a minimum of 60% of marks through out your career. It is very easy to get a job through campus placement. So, you have lost such a good opportunity.

Any way don't be disappointed. My suggestion will be just complete several programming languages and get certificates.

Try to master yourself at least in one programming language and try to get jobs in that area by off campus interviews or through reference.
