Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?
You just secured 55% in your B.Tech which makes you not eligible to appear for on campus recruitment drives conducted by several IT companies.
Because the minimum educational qualification that a candidate need to possess in order to appear for the recruitment drive of IT companies is career 60. Career 60 in the sense you need to secure a minimum of 60% of marks through out your career. It is very easy to get a job through campus placement. So, you have lost such a good opportunity. Any way don't be disappointed. My suggestion will be just complete several programming languages and get certificates. Try to master yourself at least in one programming language and try to get jobs in that area by off campus interviews or through reference. |

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?
most of the leading software company give eligibility criterion that candidates should have minimum of 60% marks through out their career to appear in their recruitment process.
but unfortunately you don't have 60% marks in B.Tech. it means you will not be eligible for leading IT company. but don't worry there are so many company also for which there are no minimum marks criterion. you will be eligible foe this type of company. try to find any small and new software company so that you can start your career. after few years of experience try to shift in other large company with your experience. but now you should have very good knowledge in programming and other software related subject to become a software engineer. try to learn more programming language and also do some software related project. these will help you a lot to get a job in software field. best of luck. |

your percentage in b.tech is very less. so you will not be getting any campus placements. to become a software engineer, you can do various computer courses from private institutions. your command on programming languages should be great to become a computer engineer. and try to increase your typing speed on keyboard also. |

Re: How to become a Software Engineer after securing 55% in B.Tech Computer Science?
dear friend,
As you have secured 55% marks in graduation then you are not eligible to appear in the campus drive of leading software companies.. Because they mention 60% aggregate through out the career in their eligibility list.. So, sorry to say you that you are not eligible.. But you can go for small It companies, where no such percentage criteria is mention.. You can apply for a job in those companies.. After gather few years of experience you can apply for a job to those giant IT companies..Because experience matters a lot. All the best. |
