Re: What is the eligibility criteria for females for CDS exam in Navy? Hi NDA is the National Defense Academy. It is one of the most reputated exams in our country which is conducted by the UPSC every year to select candidates for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The Basic Eligibility Criteria for the NDA are: 1. You have to be a male unmarried candidate to apply for the same. 2. You have to be pass class 12th with a minimum 50% aggregate in it from a recognized school or board. 3. You should have studies Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects if you wish to apply for your candidature in IAF, or Navy. 4. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years. 5. You should be physically fit. Now as per these rules, girls are not eligible to apply for the NDA exam. However once you are finished with your graduation, there are special females entry schemes in the Indian Army, ground staff, medical staff etc. For further information on these, please Click Here to visit the official website of the UPSC. If you want to join Indian Navy then you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.. C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.. As the female are not eligible for Navel Wing directly so they will join O.T.A.. O.T.A is Officer Training Academy.. It is in Madras.. Eligibility for O.T.A:- > Pass graduation with any stream.. > Age should be in tween 19-25 year > All unmarried male/ female are eligible for O.T.A/C.D.S exam > Only Indian are eligible for exam. For Officers Training Academy – ( SSC Women Non-Technical Course ) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issue less divorcees ( in possession of divorce documents ) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1994. |

Re: What is the eligibility criteria for females for CDS exam in Navy? dear friend, Eligibility criteria for CDS exam for females:- 1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field or must have complete the graduation in science field.. 2.Candidate must be unmarried or widow or divorced.. 3.Age should be in between 19-22 years. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.. All the best. |

Female candidates can apply for Officers' Training Academy only. The age limit for the OTA is 19-25 years and required educational qualification is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university. Conditions of eligibility Age limits, sex and marital status (i) For Indian Military Academy -Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible. (ii) For Indian Naval Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 (2nd July, 1988 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible. (iii) For Air Force Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible. (iv) For Officers' Training Academy- (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1987 and not later than 1st July, 1993 only are eligible. To your kind info there is no is no allocation for girls in CDS exam. As the eligibility criteria for the CDS exam clearly mentions that only unmarried male candidate are only eligible for the CDS exam. There are many other eligibiliy criteria for writing this exam.
