Re: Minimum Qualification required to become an IAS Officer?

For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

The selection procedure will be by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

The required eligibility criteria will be as follows
Academic Qualification:
-One should have completed Graduation from a recognized university with any of the stream

Age criteria :
-One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for the exam
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of OBC, SC/ST.

By the time you appear for CSAT Exam, be strong enough in Aptitude, General Awarness and English so that it will be easy for you to crack CSAT Exam.

Re: Minimum Qualification required to become an IAS Officer?

The minimum academic qualification for becoming IAS officer is that a person must be a graduate. The graduation could be in any field from an approved university.
Also minimum age is 21 years. Maximum age for general is 30 years, for OBC is 33 years and for SC/ST is 35 years.
The required skills are that you must be spontaneous, have high general knowledge and IQ.
Your point of view should be broad.
