Following are the minimum qulification for IES exam: ---must have Graduation degree in Engineering from Mechanical/ Civil/ Electronics/ Electrical from a recognized universities... --- must be not be greater than 30 years of age for general category... age relaxation is given to SC, ST and OBC candidate.. Qualifications needed for IES(Indian Engineering Services). 1.A Graduate Engineer or final year candidate from Civil,Mechanical,Electronics&Communication,Electri cal engineer can write this exam. 2.This is the one part of Civil Services and conducyted by UPSC every year. 3.Age: General: 21-32 years, OBC: 21-35 years, S/C S/T: 21-37 years. 4.Attempts: General: 6 times, OBC: 8 times S/C S/T: Unlimited. The minimum qualification to appear IES exam is :- Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in Engineering from a Mechanical/Civil/Electric Stream from a recognized University. Age imit is 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. OBC category candidates age relaxation for 3 years and SC/ST category candidates 5 years age relaxation. Best of luck....... |

Eligibility for IES: Nationality:Indian Age:Your age should in between 21-30 years. Educational qualification:You have to pass the engineering from any recognized university.Or Obtained a degree/Diploma in engineering from recognized university. Physical standards: The candidate must physically fit according to the physical standard admission to engineering service examination as per guide lines. So you are eligible for IES. Good luck... |

Its conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year to recruit fresh engineers for the various posts and vacancies in the Government of India jobs. The Basic Eligibility Criteria's for applying in the IES are : 1. You should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech from a recognized college or university with a minimum 50% aggregate in it. 2. A relaxation of 5% is provided to the SC/ST/OBC. 3. M.E/M.Tech students can also apply. And the final year appearing students too. 4. Your age should be within 21-30 years if you are a GEN candidate. Otherwise relaxation of 3-5 years is given in the upper age limit for the OBC/SC/ST candidates. 5. Also 4 attempts are given to the GEN, 7 to the OBC and unlimited attempts to the SC/ST candidates. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==> So the basic minimum QUALIFICATION which is needed to apply for the IES is B.E/B.Tech. Eligibility criteria for Indian Engineering Service exam: Education qualification: Candidate should minimum graduation degree in Engineering from a Mechanical/Civil/Electric Stream. Age limit: Age should be between 21 to 30 years. Indian Engineering Service exam notification for this year: Issue of application form from 25th Feb 2012 to 24th March 2012. Exam will held on 15th June 2012. |

Re: Qualifications required for IES exam? To appear for this exam you need to have completed your engineering. It should be from a recognised institute. You are eligible to appear if you are in the final year too. You will provide proof of passing at the time of joining. Also you should be atleast 21years. |

Age limit: A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year.
