Minimum cutoff marks for the exam? dear friend,  IES entrance test or Indian Engineering Services entrance exam is designed for recruitment of engineers in government services. IES Exam Eligibility Criteria:- 1) Age Limit:- 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination. 2) Educational Qualifications:- Applicable for the engineering graduates who have already completed or who are in last year. but last year students are required to produce the proof of passing engineering degree. IES Exam Selection Procedure:- 1) Written Exam:- Consist of 5 papers of 200 marks each. 2) Personality Interview: who have qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks. Your age should be between 21- 30 years. 2. 3 and 5 years relaxation is given to the OBC, and SC/ST category. 3. You have to be a graduate in Engineering/B.E/B-Tech / Architecture to apply for the IES. And you can take as many nos. of attempts you want, within that age limit. And minimum cut off marks is usually ranging from 400-500 marks for the General Category. All the best. |

The IES exam is conducted by UPSC services.The maximum age limit is 21 to 30 years. 1.Maximum 30 years for general category. 2.Maximum 33 years for OBC category. 3.Maximum 35 years for sc/st category. LIMIT CRITERIA: 1.For general category 4 attempts. 2.For OBC category 7 attempts. 3.For SC AND ST category no limit. |

" Engineering Services Examination" the age limit for this exam is 21-30. but also there are 5& 3 years relaxations for SC\ST & OBC candidates. this exam is conducted by UPSC every years. The examination was Held One time in a year.The examination was Held Every Year in the Month of May and the Notification was Published in the month of January every year in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Official Website. attempts-- 4 for general candidates 7 for OBC no such restriction for SC\ST candidates. |

And you should have completed your Btech in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering only. Selection depends on written exam & interview, so there is no fixed cut off, selection is based on merit only. |

If are touch 21 years and less than 30 Years, then you can appear the IES Examination. And also for IES you have to completed your Graduate Engineering Degree, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination. The examination was Held One time in a year.The examination was Held Every Year in the Month of May and the Notification was Published in the month of January every year in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Official Website. But my question is how many time we can attempts for this exam within this age .
