Dear Friend, In India, The Banking Exams are mainly conducted every year by : 1) The State Bank Of India 2) The Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection The Banking Exams are mainly conducted for the following wings : * Bank Clerks * Bank PO Now as per your query, I would like to tell you that the maximum age limit for PO Post exams differ from one category of candidates to other. The Maximum Age Limit For bank PO Exams : a) For General Candidates : 30 yrs b) For OBC Candidates : 33 yrs c) For SC/ST candidates : 35 yrs The Minimum educational qualification required for bank PO Exams is graduation in any stream from any UGC recognized university. The candidate must have Indian Citizenship. All the public sector banks except SBI have joined hands with IBPS to conduct the common written exam for the recruitment of PO positions in all public sector banks. For this academic year IBPS PO Exam notification has not come yet. Hope it will be released in couple of months or next month. So, I suggest you to have good preparation for this exam. The selection procedure will be by IBPS written exam Interview As per the marks that you score in the Interview, you will be called for Interview. Here is the required age limit for the candidate to be eligible for this exam. 21-30 years of age for the candidates of General category 21-33 years of age for the candidates of OBC category 21-35 years of age for the candidates of SC or ST category. So, the maximum age upto which you are eligible to take this exam is 35 years. As per the required academic qualification, you should have completed your Graduation in order to be eligible for this exam. But from this academic year, this criteria is going to be changed that the candidates should have minimum 50% of marks in Graduation to be eligible for this exam. The competition is too high for this exam as this is the only exam for the candidates to make entry into public sector banks. So, put your best efforts towards preparing for this exam. First is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services for 19 Public Sector Banks. While the second Bank PO is conducted by the State Bank of India. The relaxation in both the exams is 5 years in upper age limit for the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe. Although the age limit is different in the two exams. IBPS Bank PO Eligibility 1. Exam only accepts Indian nationals. 2. You should have a bachelor degree. 3. No less than 60 percent marks in graduation. 4. A certificate in Computers operations is required. 5. or you should have Computer Science/IT subject in School or college. 6. The age limit is 20 to 28 years for IBPS Bank PO. 7. Relaxation is 3 years for OBC. 8. The age limit for SC/ST will be 20 to 33 years. 9. There is 10 years relaxation for PWD. SBI Bank PO Eligibility 1. SBI also only accepts Indian citizens for Bank PO exam. 2. You can appear if completed a valid under graduation degree. 3. Must have scored 65 percent marks in under graduation. 4. SC/ST need 60 percent marks. 5. Basic Computer Operating Skills are also required. 6. The age limit is 21 to 30 years for SBI Exam. 7. OBC can have maximum of 3 years relaxation. 8. Age limit for SC/ST will be 21 to 35 years. |

For some banks aggregate is 55%. Age Limit: Candidate must be between 21-30 years of age. For OBC 3 years relaxation. For SC/ST/Ex- service personnel 5 years. For physically handicap 10 years. Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories. For SC/ST candidates between 20 and 35 years of age. For OBC candidates between 20 and 33 years of age. that means there have 5 years age relaxation for the SCs/STs category students in the Bank PO. other eligibility criteria are >>Minimum degree qualification from UGC approved institute. >>minimum 60% marks in degree course for general candidate. for ST/SC minimum 55% marks in egree course. etc. all the best........ |

You can apply for Nationalized bank PO Examination OR Private bank PO Examination, The eligibility Criteria are vary form banks to banks, But to apply for Nationalized Bank PO Examination like SBI then for this you have complete your graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University, But to apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. There will be 5 year relaxation is applicable for SC/ST Candidates and 3 Year relaxation is applicable for OBC Candidates. You can also apply for IBPS Bank PO Examination, And for this examination you need to complete your Graduate degree course and your age should between 20 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. Final year graduate candidates are not eligible for Bank PO Recruitment Examination. You can also apply for Private bank Examination and for this you have to complete your Graduate degree course with minimum 55% marks and your age should not be more than 25 years. Re: Maximum age limit for PO jobs in bank of India in SC/ST category? some times, the age limit for banks to banks are varying .. but as usually the age limit for a general candidate is 21-30 years,. there are 5 years of age relaxations for S\ST candidates i.e. 21-35. also 3 yaesr of age relaxations for a OBC candidate i.e. 21-33 years..... for appear in this exams you must have to complete your graduation in nay stream from a recognized college. No. of attempts- 4 for a general candidate 7 for a OBC candidate no such limit for a SC\ST candidate.... thanks!! ~gamble~ |
