Re: CDS exam dates and eligibilty criteria? hello After 10th you can join Air Force by Clearing NDA exam .The Process is to be short-listed for Air Force after the initial selection procedure, go through a 3-year training at National Defence Academy, followed by specialised training at the Air Force Academy. NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year . Eligibility Criteria: Age : 16 ˝ to 19 years Nationality: Indian Sex: applicable only to men. Educational Qualifications: You should have passed/appearing in your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. |

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried National Having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 years to 25 years with good Physical and Mental health. The CDS exam is conducted two times every years as CDS-I and CDS-II. For the year 2012 both the two exams has already been over. Hi Aspirant CDS : Stands for the Common Defence Services exam and for which the union public service is conducting the exam twice in a year and with the name of the CDS I And CDS II And if you want to join the Any of the Department that comes under the exam than you have to clear the exam.. For the exam their is 2 stages first is the written test of the objective type and than their will be a ssb of 5 days in which your mental as well as the physical ability is checked and also the most difficult part of the exam is the ssb because most of the or almost all candidates are failed in the ssb .so better would be to work hard for the ssb and work very much hard if you want to get success .. Eligibility Criteria for the CDS Exam: ~ The Aspirant must be pass in the degree of the graduation ~ The Final year aspirants are also allowed for the exam Age Limits : ~ The Age limit for the IMA is 19-24 ~ The age limit for the Indian Naval 19-22 ~ The age limit for the OTA 19-25 ~ The age limit for the Indian Air Force 19-23 Attempts ~ Their is no limitation on the attempts Nationality : ~ The Candidate should be a citizen of India Best of luck |

Re: CDS exam dates and eligibilty criteria? There are mainly two exams for joining INDIAN ARMY NDA CDS-this is after graduation.. All students which completed their graduation course are eligible for giving this exam. Age limits :- (i) For IMA and OTA :- For IMA 19 - 24 years as on 01.01.2012 (ii) For Naval Academy :- For NA 19 - 22 years as on 01.01.2012 (iii) For Air Force Academy :- For AFA 19 - 23 years as on 01.01.2012 For OTA 19 - 25 years as on 01.01.2012 CDS-I exam: Issuing of application form from 29th Oct 2011 to 28th Nov 2011. Exam will be held on 12th Feb 2012. CDS-II exam: Issuing of application form from 2nd June 2012 to 2nd July 2012. Exam will held on 16th Sep 2012. Best of luck. |

Candidates qualifying the written test are interviewed by the Service Selection Board and if finally selected, depending upon the choice given by the candidates and their merit list ranking, are sent to one of the following institutes for orientation training: (a) Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun (b) Naval Academy, Goa (c) Air Force Academy, Begumpet, Hyderabad (d) Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai Those joining the first three institutes get permanent commission, however cadets passing out of OTA get short service commission. Applicants are required to mention their preferences while filling up the application forms. Eligibility for CDS examination Educational Qualifications: For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering. Blank application forms and other particulars are published by UPSC in leading newspapers and Employment News in the month of May/June and November/December For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering.
