Re: What is the scope in Pharmacy field in India? Respected Sir/Ma'am, Pharmacy is not a bad field as all see. It will only be beneficial if you scored a good percentage in institute and have done a management course from good institute. It is also an respectful job as scope in agriculture is more in India. so if you are trying to get in it it is not bad. |

Pharmacy as a career option has always been in demand offering bright career prospect & handsome salary. Pharmacy candidates can find employment opportunities in hospitals and medical dispensing stores, in pharmaceutical industry, in the manufacturing, analytical and research and development divisions. Pharmacy candidates can do variety of jobs. They can either work as a Pharmacist in Govt/Semi Govt/Private Hospitals or they can start their own Medical Store. They can also work as Marketing Managers or a Sales Manager, Drug Inspectors, Drug Controllers, etc |

They can join as -medicine representative for private company -Health system pharmacist -community pharmacist -hospital pharmacist 3. Quality Assurance Health Manager where he have to play an important role in the development of clinical care plans. 4.Medical transcription laborotory 5.Analytical chemist of Quality control manager in private sector 6. Although currently, only few Chemical Industries, Pharmaceutical companies and the Research & Development divisions of major healthcare networks like Pfizer, Fortis, Apollo etc. employ Pharmacy graduates & postgraduates, the scope is bound to get enhanced in the future, with more and more organizing realizing the need for professional experience in handling pharmacy. Plus, the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association IPGA, is demanding recognition to the degree for government jobs too. |
