Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? dear friend According to me, If you are doing engineering after 12th, then is it best for you. because you will need your 10th and 12th certificates where ever you go for job or admissions and your 10th certificate does not give a very good impression. So, i think you should go for 12th first because in engineering Maths plays very important role. So, if you do 12th with maths, your basics will be clear and it will helps to you at the time of engineering. So, please do your 12th first and then go for engineering course................ |

There are many field apart from Engineering which you can opt and make you career in it ,The thing is you just need to Find your interest amongs them ,If you are not Intersted in the science field its not at all a problem because there are many options available apart from science subjects...some of them includes Defence services through NDA in which you will get a job that you cant even think of it...here you will have option to join any forces like Indian Army,Indian Airforce,and Indian Navy,You can go for Hotel Management also which has got a good scope in the Industry,You can go for Commecial pilot and can become a Pilot in the Aviation Industry,You can go for diploma courses in many fields in Engineering..orelse you can go for Graduation from a good university in Mass communication,Travelling etc,you can go for Modelling also,You can choose Photography as your field also and many more ...so I would say first of all you decide your interest and then decide your career.. If someone is going for B.Tech/B.E. after 10th then also it will take 6 years to complete it and 7 years if someone is droping a year after Diploma for performing well in entrance. Similarly if someone is going through 12th then also it will take 6 years to complete it and 7 years if someone is droping a year for performing well in entrance. But students who are going through Diploma faces problem because they can not Appear for GATE (http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/gate2010_...ligibility.php). Besides these various types of International scholarship etc. has eligibility criteria such that having no +2 can not get them so. will diploma students get less preference than the student with engineering after 12th??? I dont think so. Good Luck for your future............... |

Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? if you want to do engineering(B.E or B.Tech) then obviously you have to go after 12th. only 12th pass candidates are eligible for this course. but if you want to do diploma in engineering then you may go after 10th or 12th. but i think it's better to go after 12th. if you go after 12th your performance will be very good in diploma study. and you may get preference at the time of job selection. but you have study in science 12th. if you want to study arts in 12th and after that you want to take admission in diploma engineering then i think after 10th is good. arts knowledge of 12th will not be helpful for diploma study. |

Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? Hi Its good to do engineering after 12th because if we see the current job needs most of the jobs are available on 12th basis and graduation. There are few jobs are left for the 10th and diploma holders. So if you do 12th and then engineering then there are more job opportunities available for you in comparison to 10th and diploma. So according to my suggestion 10+2 and then engineering is the best option for you. But keep one thing in mind that if you have any interest in diploma then go ahead for that because without interest you can't be successful. But according to today's market demand the basic requirement is 10+2. So go ahead for that which you like most. GOOD LUCK |

To do engineering after 12th is a better option,because after 12th you get chance to give entrance exam to get admission in various good colleges,like IIT BIT NIT And other good institutes. After 10th you can just go for diploma not for a degree and today degree does matters more then the diploma.. |

Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? dear friend... i would suggest you to take up 12th first,then go for engineering...it wil take a total of 6 years to complete your engineering including 11th and 12th standard...if you take up diploma ,then you wil have to spend another a year to complete your engineering..that is a total of 7 years....engineering is all about maths...basic knowlegde of maths is very important for an engineer...all the basic concepts wil b taught to you in your 11th and 12th...diploma people find mathematics very tough in engineering because they lack the basic knowledge of maths... |

Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? in both the cases -when you complete your b.tech after 12 or complete b.tech after ten by diploma the value are same. after 10 you it will take 6 years and after 12th it will need only 4 years to complete b.tech. however b.tech is more valuable than diploma. so dont get confused . good luck |

It will not only provide strength to ur engineering base but will also help u getting god jobs ahead in future. Diploma course- For me diploma course do have less importance than full time engineering course, as what is the need of 4 years engineering course if both of them are of equal importance. Diploma courses are just upper layer of engineering. It doesnot have that depth of knowledge. thank you |

It is a good option but you must do it from any reputed institution where there is surity of the placement some institute like iit, nits, and other deemed university the future is bright. If you opt engineering from any other institute then it is total waste of money |

However, one can persue his engineering through any of the method, because after engineering no one will ask your pathway. But if you ask which one is better then I rank both equal, but for the sake of those jobs which requires a diploma like TTA or other, i want to suggest you to go through diploma, as you can also get in engineering after your diploma but till then you will be awared of professional field of engineering. |

Its not thst degree after 10 or 12 is not. Its the college from where you do is more important at this time as there innumerable colleges which are providing such degrees. So you should not get trapeed in such colleges. Doing 12 will always open doors for you to join differnt fields. But once you go for engineering after 10 the doors for other fields will be closed. |

As you will pass 10+2 you will have more knowledge and would have more topics clear and other basics and it would be easy for you in the degree. If you will go in engineering after 10th standard you will have to do diploma and then the degree. If you pass 10+2 i.e. 11th and 12th standard you can opt for many competitive exams and can get admission in a good university. |

Ofcourse engineering after 12th will be good...because you need to study 12th which will make you fundamentally more strong and sound...so that you find engineering easier...but if you join it after 10th you may not be able to catch up with the heavy topics...and you may face difficulties in understanding certain technical topics... good luck !! |

Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? dear friend u can opt for engineering field in two ways after class 10. 1. you can give the entrance exam for Diploma after class 10. .after that you can apply for lateral entry exams through which you will get admission in b.tech colleges. 2.you can also study 12th. after that you have to give entrance exams like IIT-JEE, AIEEE and many state university exams. there is nothing like that engineering after 12th gets more preference. both have equal status. all the best. |

Re: Engineering after 10th or 12th is a better option? dear friend if you are from science then definitely Engineering is best option for the student.you are also eligible for giving the NDA exam that is also good for you........you may go for BSc , BBA , BCA ,HOTEL MANAGEMENT , CA and so many option are available but engineering is best................... after 10th examination you can get admission in diploma .after completion of diploma you can go for bteh by giving lateral entry exam . you can directly get admission in btech 2nd year . those student who are coming from diploma side and after diploma he will completing btech are getting almost job which are getting regular btech student............diploma student will also get job from his diploma degree........... best of luck................................. |

Apart from this you can also go for the other degree courses such as BSc ,BCA,BBA etc........... Engineering is a 4 years courses and a technical courses whereas Diploma is 3 years courses and are less valuable then the engineering courses in respect of the jobs.. |

Well if you are so determined to do engg. then i suggest that you complete your class 12 n then go for engineering entrance examinations. In that way you will not have problems in placement in companies as there are many companies who do not give preference to engineers through diploma. also plus 2 develops the aptitude for engineering more than diploma can.
