Re: Can I do Diploma in civil Engineering after 10th? Sure. You can choose any stream of diploma after diploma. Depending upon your interest you should select correct field for your career. Civil engineering is one of the best branch of engineering. If you are interested in construction area then you can apply for Civil engineering diploma after 10th. |

Different states conduct different entrance exams for diploma course... You have to qualify in that exam, after getting qualified in that exam you will be able to take admission in diploma course depending on your score in that exam.. Eligibility for diploma entrance exam:--------------------->> 1.The candidate must have complete the 10th class from a recognized central/state education board. 2.The candidate has to secure 50% marks in 10th class. 3.The upper age limit is 23 years.. So, get prepare for these entrance exams.. All the best... |

The advantage is that there is no qualifying percentage of marks is needed. So you can apply for the diploma in civil engineering in any private or government colleges. If there is an age limit is required so you can contact the govt colleges and then join in government colleges or directly go to the private colleges and then join in diploma in civil engineering. Not to worry. you have not mention that how many percentage did you get in the 10h. but i want to suggest that if you have 55 percent in the secondary exam then you are eligible for the diploma. civil engineering is a best option which you have chosen. This branch of engineering give many scope in the technical field. There are many institute in this field that will give you admission. best of luck.. |

Re: Can I do Diploma in civil Engineering after 10th? hi dear, For persuing Diploma Engineering you have to join a good polytechnic institute, and admission to such institute is based on state level entrance conducted by every state government itself. For example- West Bengal conducts its own entrance for the same naming JEXPO.Similarly, Bihar,Jharkand, Maharashtra etc. conducts its own entrance for it. At least 50% aggregate is required for going through Entrance. Besides these, if student have good percentile in 10th say 70%+ then he can find direct admission also. But the major problem is that the age limit for joining any Polytechnic college or persuing Diploma Engineering is 23 years (by the order of AICTE), and as you mention your age is 25 years. Secondly, as I said for direct admission at least 70% aggregate is required but as you said you haven't good percentile in it. So, you can not persue Diploma Engineering. thanks |
