Yes, You can do diploma courses after. All colleges doesn't have the age boundary. The minimum criteria for admission in diploma is 10th or equivalent passed. You can also apply for the govt. colleges of your state. If there is some age limit in govt. institution of your state then you better go for private ones.

yes you can do diploma in civil engineering. There are many forms through which you can take admission in diploma. The only thing you have to check is whether you have crossed age limit or not. If yes then you will have to go to the college directly and take direct admission.

hii friend... yeah you can do there no age limits for joining college and doing your diploma degree....your percentage is not good so you can try for some other private polytechnic colleges......i'll give some good private colleges you can try if you want........

The required percentage of marks varries in different institutes, hence you must visit their official website.

For persuing Diploma Engineering you have to join a good polytechnic institute, and admission to such institute is based on state level entrance conducted by every state government itself.

For example- West Bengal conducts its own entrance for the same naming JEXPO.Similarly, Bihar,Jharkand, Maharashtra etc. conducts its own entrance for it. At least 50% aggregate is required for going through Entrance.

Besides these, if student have good percentile in 10th say 70%+ then he can find direct admission also.

But the major problem is that the age limit for joining any Polytechnic college or persuing Diploma Engineering is 23 years (by the order of AICTE), and as you mention your age is 25 years.

Secondly, as I said for direct admission at least 70% aggregate is required but as you said you haven't good percentile in it.

So, you can not persue Diploma Engineering.

Diploma course for engineering is after 10th class. After diploma you get direct entry into 2nd yr of the chosen stream.
The minimum qualification for admission to diploma programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+ (Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination) with a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent marks in Science and Mathematics in a single sitting. The duration of Diploma programme in Engineering will be not less 3 years, after 10th standard unless specified otherwise by the AICTE

However the age limit as per the AICTE rules and regulations in 23 yers, and so therefore, you cannot apply for diploma in engineering..!

basic selection criteria for this diploma in civil engg is
Selection to the graduate courses ( BE / B.Tech ) is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams. Entrance to the IIT's is through 'JEE' (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams. Apart from the IIT's, some other famous institutes also recognize JEE scores for selection. Selection to the postgraduate courses ( M.Sc / M.Tech) in different universities is through an 'All India Combined Entrance exam' conducted by JNU, New Delhi and to IIT's through 'GATE' in Two year/ 4 semester M.Tech courses and through JEE in five year integrated M.Tech courses

All the states have there own entrance exam for the diploma courses,You will have to go through the entrance exam and then you will have to take admission in the corresponding institution.

You will also must have good marks or you can say good percentage to go through it
You have not mentioned the actual percentage you have in the 10 class,

But let me tell you one thing that you must have at least 60 % for the admission.

you can not do diploma now bcoz your age is above 23 and as per rule of A.I.C.T.E.maximum age limit is 23 so you can't get admisson in any pollytechnic colledge

there have three procedure to get chance in diploma course in engg.

1.through the exam.

2.through the good marks in 10th.

3.after doing the course vocational training or ITI.

as your age and marks of 10th is poor.so you are not eligiable for the first two.

but you are eligiable for the last one.

I dont quite agree with faiyaz. There are some polytechnices which has no bar for doing polytechnic diploma courses. I know that as i myself doing diploma in civil engineering.

But yeah there are some who have some age bar. You didnt mention which state you are from otherwise i would have listed the colleges having no age bar. Anyways you try searching for this in the prospectus of the college

So best of luck. You can do your diploma after 10th. There are some polytechnics who consider with 50% score in 10th standard. So its not the end.

for pursuing diploma courses you can give the state level entrance exams.for which you already cross the age limit i.e 25 yrs.and also if you want direct ad,ission you need to get minimum 70 % in SSC examination.

Sure you can do diploma in civil engineering after 10th it is good after the completion of diploma you can try for jobs are you can do higher studies but lot of job opportunity are available for diploma holders.

as your % is not so good and u are a 25 years so anyone can do diploma till 23rd.So i am very sorry to say that u can not do diploma after 10th.

There are many institutes through which you can do diploma in civil engineering after your 10th. These institutes doesn't select candidates on the basis of percentage . So you can apply in these institutes.

Since some of the high institutes take students for the diploma courses on the basis of percentage. So its hard to get admission in such type of institutes.

ya: you are eligible for civil Engineering (diploma) right now. it is a five year course after 10th. if you want to be in govt. college then you need to appear in entrance test conduct by the same board. oterwise if you belongs to a rich family then you can get admission to a private college by donating some bucks .
