Hello, Its good that you are appearing for UPSC exam.For the preparation of this exam you can refer to books like current events, Indian history of India, global and Indian geography, Indian economics and politics for paper 1 and for paper two each candidate has to choose one subject from a wide list and prepare for it. This optional subject depends on the type of job that he or she wants to take as an IAS officer.You can make it.Just prepare well for this exam. |

Hello friend, You can prepare for this exam by referring books like current events, Indian history of India, global and Indian geography, Indian economics that is for paper one and for paper two each candidate has to choose one subject from a wide list and prepare for it. This optional subject depends on the type of job that he or she wants to take as an IAS officer. One can choose anything from animal husbandry to philosophy, from law to political science therefore the choice is in your hand. |

If you want to be an IPS officer you should know the job profile and other things related to the designation. You have to appear for Civil service exam. There are two stages: Preliminary and Main. You must study eight subjects thoroughly which are of high importance Mental Ability, Economy, Political Science, Science, Current Affairs, Geography, History and General Knowledge. Keep yourself updated with current affairs by listening to the news and reading newspapers. Read books like Competition Success, political and business magazines. Try to solve previous years question papers. Appear for test series in your coaching centre. Prepare list of Formulae and tips for ready reference. |

TO Make career in any stream one should have basicknowledge what actually the designation means. this course one who have strong aspiration towards the country. you can join IAS through UPSC entrance exams. one should get well versed exam papers and examination pattern. application forms are obtained in any recognised post office/ head post office. ther are two steps in IPS exams it is, 1)optionals subjects-300 marks 2)general studies -150 marks and one should have minimum refernces of 9 papers. |

For the IAS and IPS entrance exam you should be thorough in 1.current affairs 2.general sciences 3.indian history before and after independence 4.indian politics if you are good in this fields you can easily clear the entrance then main exam and then interview.so try to prepare well and work hard. |

A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. ii. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below: a. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. b. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes. c. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989. d. upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled during hostilities with foreign countries or in a disturbed area and consequently released.
