Re: Is B.Com student eligible for MCA? How Can I Join Proper M.C.A Degree Course. If I have passed 10th class with 72%, 12th Class with 48% (49.5% in top 5 subjects) in Commerce stream with maths, B.com(P) 1st year with 45%, B.com 2nd year with 47.8% (Including Maths) and studying in B.com 3rd year. So Please..... Sir Please Tell Me Various ways to join M.C.A Degree Course. I am depressed due to low marks in 12th class, B.com(P) 1st year, B.com(P) 2nd year Which Causes From diseases (T.B, Tuberculosis). What should i do, If B.com Graduation Marks will less than 50% Percent. Sir Please Tell Me Different Different Ways to Join My Vision Course M.C.A From GOOD University. |

Re: Is B.Com student eligible for MCA? MCA stands for Master of Computer Applications. This is a 3 year Post Graduation program being offered by several colleges in India. No direct admission will be given for the candidates to join this course. One should apply for the Entrance Exam and get through it in order to get admission for this course. Each and every university will conduct its own Entrance Exam in order to give admission for this course. If you want to join MCA courser in NITs, you have to crack NIMCET Exam. Here is the eligibility criteria required to apply for the Entrance Exam. One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream. One should have scored a minimum of 50% of marks in Graduation. One should have gone through Mathematics as one of the subject either at 10+2 level or at Graduation level. No upper age limit is there to join this course. You mentioned that you are pursuing final year of B.Com course and you did not mention the stream that have gone through in your 10+2. If you have Mathematics subject in 10+2, then you are eligible to join MCA course otherwise you can not apply for this course. Wish you all the best. |

You need to have completed graduation and Maths should be one of the subjects either in 12th or graduation to apply for Master of Computer Applications. If you meet the criteria mentioned above then there should be no problem in apply for MCA course. Master of Computer Applications is related to computer programming. Upon completion of the course you can apply for job in IT companies such as Infosys, Microsoft, IBM, Wipro etc. The Master of Computer Applications is a post graduation course which deals in the following areas: System Management Programming Languages Application Software Hardware Technology Trouble Shooting Software Development Networking Internet For admission you will have to appear for entrance exam. Re: Is B.Com student eligible for MCA? Hello, Any person with Maths in class 12 th is eligible for MCA. However few colleges also require physics in your 12 th for your MCA degree. So it will be good that you analyse the colleges before planing to get into it. |

Re: Is B.Com student eligible for MCA? Hi, See mostly universities do not allow B.Com people for MCA admission. This is due to the reason that mathematics and physics are very core requirement for MCA course. So this can be possible if a person is from B.Sc. honors. Now do not be upset as you still have an option. Sit for MAH CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. If you have just a minimum and above percentage of 50 in your graduation then you can apply for this admission test. Also you must have mathematics subject or statistics in your plus 2 level. On getting a good rank in this test you will be eligible for the counseling process to join any good university enlisted in their brochure. |

Re: Is B.Com student eligible for MCA? Yes friend. MCA is a post graduation course which any UG cleared candidates are required. To join in MCA only requirements are that you must be a graduate and you must have maths as one of your subjects in 12th std. Most of the colleges expects at least 60% as an aggregate in your graduation. There are many other entrance exams also for joining MCA in top level colleges. |

Re: Is B.Com student eligible for MCA? First think i need to know is that if there was mathematics in your BA syllabus. If yes then you can obviously go for MCA as eligibility criteria for MCA entrance is :- 1) Nationality :- Indian. 2) Educational Qualification :- 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in each of the examinations of : (i) 12th level with Mathematics and (ii) bachelors degree of full time 3 year duration from a recognized university with any of the subjects - (a) mathematics (b) statistics (c) business mathematics (d) discrete mathematics (e) mathematical foundations of computer science (f) business statistics (g) computational mathematics (h) elementary mathematics (i) elementary statistics . So, as you don't write about your subjects in BA then if you are eligible then go for MCA. MCA application form will available from the month of March and exam is generally held on :- May. Good Luck. |

To sit in any of these exam one has to fulfill some eligibility criteria:- 1.One must have complete the graduation in any trade. 2.One must have done 12th class with maths with 60% aggregate. These are the only eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. So, if you had maths in 12th then you can go for MCA course. All the best. |

But you take maths subject from side or additional subject in 12th, then you can apply for MCA exam.  MCA is a three-years post-graduates course offered by various university/institutes.
