The CDS Examination is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of candidates in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. Re: Eligibility for CDS for BE 3rd year student at age 22? You will not be eligible for CDS exam as you are a student of 3rd year engineering. You can apply for CDS either during the 4th year or completion of engineering degree. CDS- COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for admission in to:- Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Academy Indian Air Force Academy Indian Officer's Training Academy. The candidate must be a graduate from recognised University. As you are an engineering student you can also apply for CDS Naval Academy for which you should be 19 to 22 years of age. ELIGIBILITY- candidates should be graduates with a recognized university from any stream. age should be 19-25 years. you will be eligible for all the three defense wings. -Indian Army -Indian air force -Indian navy |

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) The examination is knocking the door as the notification is coming on 25th September,2011 for that keep visiting its official website www.upsc.gov.in According to the Eligibility Criteria: i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University. ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE). iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE) Age Limit: i)For IMA:19-24 Years ii)For OTA:19-23 Years iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years iv)For AFA :19-25 Years The Examination Date:13.02.2012 The Last Date of Application:25.10.2011 Second Examination of 2012: The Date of exam: 18.09.2012 The Date of Notification: 30.04.2012 TheLast date of Applications:30.05.2012 for more visit: www.upsc.gov.in They select the students through the i) Written Test ii)Intelligence & Personality test iii)Medical test. Exam Pattern i) Written Test for IMA / Naval Academy / AFA All the three papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge Elementary Mathematics total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks. for OTA All the two papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks. ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc... iii)Medical test. After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals. Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training. |

Combined Defence Services Examination is to select students for Indian army,navy air force. ELIGIBILITY :: Naval Academy::19-22 years Must have got degree or you should be in prefinal year.Candidate should have PCM as subjects in class 12th . Indian Military Academy(IMA)::19-24 years Must have got degree or you should be in prefinal year Air Force Academy::19-23 years Must have got degree or you should be in prefinal year.Candidate should have PCM as subjects in class 12th . Hello, CDS (combined defence services) conducted by UPSC twice in a year.CDS 1st in the month of mid february and CDS 2nd conducts in september every year. Eligibility criteria to appear in CDS- *Candidate should be graduate from affiliated university with min. Aggregate 60%, or equivalent in any stream. *Students in final year are also eligible to appear in exam. *Age limit-19-23 yr. On 1st july of exam year. Details on CDS, 2nd exam- *Notification date-30/4/2011 *Last date to submit the form offline and online-30/5/2011 *Date of exam-18/9/2011 ok, best of luck. |

Hello friend, The Combined Defense Service Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of candidates in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air-Force. The eligibility criteria varies as per the defense wing. Being an engineering graduate, you will be eligible for all the three defense wings. The eligible age for Indian Army is 19-24 years. The eligible age for Indian Navy is 19-22 years. The eligible age for Air-Force is 19-23 years. For further information, you may refer to the official website of of UPSC. |
