Complete Info On Lateral Entry Exams AIEEE ( All India Engineering Entrance Exam) is conducted for admissions to B.Tech courses in various top level colleges of India.. Through AIEEE..you can get admissions only to the 1st year of B.Tech.. AIEEE is not a lateral entry exam for direct admissions to the 2nd year of B.Tech to any college.. If you appear in AIEEE even though you are pursuing your B.Tech from another college..then also you will get admissions to the 1st year of any other engineering college..and you will have to repeat the same procedure of counselling and admissions and all.. If you want to take direct admission to the 2nd year of another college..then you can appear for the lateral entry exam of your desired college.. Just contact the college you are interested in taking admission in and clear its lateral entry exam and you will be directly admitted to the 2nd year of that college.. all the best..
