A candidate can appear only two times for IIT JEE. Once at the time of appearing of 12th class and another after passing 12th class. So if you take admission in the B.E course in the appearing of 12th class then you can get a chance to appear in IIT JEE in the first year of B.E program. Re: Can a student of first year B.E. appear for iit jee? hello dear see you can appear iit jee in two times. so if you don't have year gap then you can appear IIT-JEE exam one more time. but one thing you should remember if you have 80% marks in 12th then you can only take admission in IIT. all the best........ |

Most of the students do this and they leave the institute if they have cleared their iit exam. But note one thing that after your counselling you need to show your marksheet so you should ask your institute that how you can obtained that. GOOD LUCK |

Re: Can a student of first year B.E. appear for iit jee? Hai, Any candidate with minimum pass mark in 12th are eligible for appearing in IIT JEE. But, if you are already in the stage of completing 1st year, you will be losing the full one year and the fees paid for your admission at the college. Updated news suggest that already 4 lakh students are competing for the available seats of 10,000 only. So, it works out to 40 students fight for 1 seat. The thing is going to get tougher. Think twice and then proceed. |

Re: Can a student of first year B.E. appear for iit jee? dear friend, if you are just passed +2 with 60% aggregate marks& get admission in BE. & you are a 1st yr student, then you are eligible for IIT-JEE. because as per criteria of IIT a student with 60% in +2 & a year gap of maximum 1 year can appear for IIT-JEE & get admission in IIT. Re: Can a student of first year B.E. appear for iit jee? yeah you can but problem lies how will you produce documents....your 12th leaving certificate and other essential documents will be with your engineering college....They wont give it unless you are ready to pay the remainder 3 years fees.....Think on this before deciding the next step..... |

Re: Can a student of first year B.E. appear for iit jee? Definitely yes, many students do that. You can appear for IIT JEE exams and if you crack a good rank and prepare well for interview, you can get in. Only problem is how you will manage time to prepare for IIT JEE studying engineering. |
