can a student of first year B.E. appear iitjee & if he clears jee will he get admission in iits??

Definitely yes, many students do that. You can appear for IIT JEE exams and if you crack a good rank and prepare well for interview, you can get in. Only problem is how you will manage time to prepare for IIT JEE studying engineering.

yeah you can but problem lies how will you produce documents....your 12th leaving certificate and other essential documents will be with your engineering college....They wont give it unless you are ready to pay the remainder 3 years fees.....Think on this before deciding the next step.....

dear friend, if you are just passed +2 with 60% aggregate marks& get admission in BE. & you are a 1st yr student, then you are eligible for IIT-JEE.
because as per criteria of IIT a student with 60% in +2 & a year gap of maximum 1 year can appear for IIT-JEE & get admission in IIT.

Any candidate with minimum pass mark in 12th are eligible for appearing in IIT JEE.
But, if you are already in the stage of completing 1st year, you will be losing the full one year and the fees paid for your admission at the college.

Updated news suggest that already 4 lakh students are competing for the available seats of 10,000 only. So, it works out to 40 students fight for 1 seat. The thing is going to get tougher.

Think twice and then proceed.

no you cannot apply....you need to have maths as one of your subjects to be eligible to apply....

Yes definately you can surely apply for IIT JEE even if you are studying in a college. But i hope you have not exhaushted your attempts.Maximum is 2 attempt that too must be continuous.

So work hard and try to manage college as well as IIT JEE as its tough to prepare for both. But if you are a true IITian then you can easily come up with some solution

but you should have been admitted to any of iit's or it bhu or ismu dhanbad .

as you said a first year b.e. student can appear for iit jee then what about the attestation who will do the attestation on papers which we submitforjee

yes, you can give iit exam and if passed the exam you will also get admission. you must give aieee exam also because there are many good colleges like nit, iiit etc in this exam.

dear bhavya.
for appearing in iit jee, there is two chances to appear in this exam after 12th.
if you have taken admission in b.e in current after 12th. if there is no any gap between 12th and be 1st year or you have appeared only one time in 12th only then you can appear concurrent year, whether you are in be 1st year.


so you can appear in IITjee exam.

Yes you can apply for iit jee if you are studying in forst year B.E. Most of the students do this and they leave the institute if they have cleared their iit exam.

But note one thing that after your counselling you need to show your marksheet so you should ask your institute that how you can obtained that.

Yes he can appear. If he clears the exam, he will definitely get admission, but note that admission will be in the first year, not second!

YES you can very well attempt the IITjee if you are a student in first year B.E.. you just watch out that your attempts of the IIT are available. as you can only appear for IIT twice..

see you can appear iit jee in two times.

so if you don't have year gap then you can appear IIT-JEE exam one more time.

but one thing you should remember if you have 80% marks in 12th then you can only take admission in IIT.

In IIT only two chance appear.so if you have any chance then you can appear.And secondly 60% marks in10+2 then you can appear other wise not appear.

A candidate can appear only two times for IIT JEE. Once at the time of appearing of 12th class and another after passing 12th class. So if
you take admission in the B.E course in the appearing of 12th class
then you can get a chance to appear in IIT JEE in the first year of
B.E program.
