Dear friend, Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) According to the Eligibility Criteria: i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University. ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE). iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE) Age Limit: i)For IMA:19-24 Years ii)For OTA:19-23 Years iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years iv)For AFA :19-25 Years They select the students through the i) Written Test ii)Intelligence & Personality test iii)Medical test. Exam Pattern i) Written Test for IMA / Naval Academy / AFA All the three papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge Elementary Mathematics total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks. for OTA All the two papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks. ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc... iii)Medical test. After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals. NDA is an defense exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in every year. Eligibility for NDA exam:- For Army wing:- 1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in any trade. 2.Candidates age should be in between 16.5-19 years. 3.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 4.Candidate must be physically fit. Eligibility For Indian Army Soldier General Duty (NER) ExamEligibility for Indian Army Soldier General Duty (NER) Examination that is conducted by the Indian Army for appointing general soldiers is given in this page. General Eligibility Criteria Unmarried male Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible. Education: Matriculation or equivalent with Mathematics, English and Science. Age: 16 to 21 years. Physical Standards: Height: 167 cms, relaxable for certain regions. Weight: 50 kg, relaxable for certain regions. Chest: 77/82 cm. Medical Standards A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III. Should recognize red and green colours. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles. |

That exam name is National Defense Academy(NDA). Selection Procedure of NDA :- 1.Written test 2.Physical test 3.medical test 4.Group test 5.personal Interview Eligibility Criteria :- Army :- 12Th with any stream. Navy and Air force :- 12Th with physics and mathematics. Age limit is 16.5 to 19years. Nationality is Indian. Only Unmarried Males are allowed and Girls are Not eligible. Physical Eligibility :- Height :- 167CMS. The various entry and exams to join Indian Army are :- 1.SSC non tech 2.SSC tech 3.University entry scheme(UES) 4.CDS 5.TGC 6.NDA if you are 12th passout and in age of 16.5 -19 years,then apply for NDA.If you are a pre final or final year engineering student than you may apply for UES,entry scheme. if you are graduate engineering student then you may apply for CDS/TGC/SSC entry scheme |

Eligibility for Indian Army :- 1) 10+2 (Through NDA) You have to take an entry level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to join NDA (National Defence Academy). Eligibility for UPSC exam :- a) Sex :- Male. b) Age Limit :- Between 16 1/2 and 19. Application Forms are published in leading newspapers during March /April. The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India. Each year course start twice January and July. UPSC (NDA) Syllabus is based on CBSE syllabus. After clearing the written exam you have to go through a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step . On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training. 2) Engineering Graduates (Direct Entry) Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly. Competitive exams are given below 1.cds 2.nda 3.ncc'c' 4.ues nda exam is conducted by upsc. For nda exam you should have to complete 12th class.and you should have atleast 55% marks in class 10+2. Your age should be between 16.5-19.5 years. |

Indian Army UPSC conducts the CDSE(Combined Defence Services Exam)exam twice a year in february and august/september for admits cadets of Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA), Navy and Air Force. Eligibility:- For IMA:- persuing candidate should be unmarried males with graduate in any discipline. For OTA:- married or unmarried males with graduate in any discipline. For Navy and Air Force:- require either a BSc (physics/maths) or a BE/BTech. Selection:- selection is based on objective type written exam and interview. after qualify the written exam,the intelligence and personality tests, group and psychological activities. |

This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India. It is restricted to boys between the ages of 16 1/2 and 19. The months of commencement of the course each year is January and July. Applications are to be sent in response to the advertisement which will be published in leading newspapers during March /April. NDA exam conducted by UPSC is based on the CBSE syllabus. Graduates (Direct Entry) The UPSC holds an all-India competitive examination, known as the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year for University graduates or equivalent. Candidate should be in the age of 19-24. The course commences each year in the month of January and July. Engineering Graduates (Direct Entry) An Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly. They only need to attend the Service Selection Board interview.
