To join in Indian Army you have to appear in defense exams like- NDA ..

NDA is an defense exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in every year.

Eligibility for NDA exam:-

For Army wing:-
1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in any trade.
2.Candidates age should be in between 16.5-19 years.
3.Candidate must be a citizen of India.
4.Candidate must be physically fit.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.

10+2 (Through NDA)

One has to take an entry level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to join NDA (National Defence Academy).
This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.
It is restricted to boys between the ages of 16 1/2 and 19. The months of commencement of the course each year is January and July.
Applications are to be sent in response to the advertisement which will be published in leading newspapers during March /April.

NDA exam conducted by UPSC is based on the CBSE syllabus.

Graduates (Direct Entry)

The UPSC holds an all-India competitive examination, known as the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year for University graduates or equivalent.

Candidate should be in the age of 19-24. The course commences each year in the month of January and July.

Engineering Graduates (Direct Entry)

An Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly. They only need to attend the Service Selection Board interview.
Age at the time of joining should be between 20-27 years.
The course commences every year in the month of January and July.

UPSC conducts the CDSE(Combined Defence Services Exam)exam twice a year in february and august/september for admits cadets of Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA), Navy and Air Force.

Eligibility:-

For IMA:- persuing candidate should be unmarried males with graduate in any discipline.
For OTA:- married or unmarried males with graduate in any discipline.
For Navy and Air Force:- require either a BSc (physics/maths) or a BE/BTech.

Selection:- selection is based on objective type written exam and interview. after qualify the written exam,the intelligence and personality tests, group and psychological activities.

All the three papers are of objective type containing the
English
General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics
total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks.

for OTA
All the two papers are of objective type containing the
English
General Knowledge
total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks.

ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc...

iii)Medical test.
After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.

Eligibility for Indian Army :-

Age Limit :- Between 20-27 years at the time of joining.

There are many entry levels to join Indian Army,

You can enter after 12th having Physics Math Chemistry in your 10+2 through NDA.

You can also enter after graduation or engineering....
