Re: How to become an IAS officer having completed 10th standard?

It is good that you have decided upon of what you want to be in the very beginning of your career.

But this destination is not so easy to achieve. Because, there is huge competition among the candidates in order to become IAS Officer.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. It is one of the top civil service in India.

The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates in order to become IAS Officer is by completion of Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Graduation and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam.

Hence I suggest you to opt for 10+2 first with the stream which you are interested and respective stream in Graduation.

Make sure that at least one subject of your 10+2 and Graduation should be there in the list of Optional subjects for Main Exam.

Try to start preparation for Civil Services Exam from the very beginning your Graduation course and make sure that you are going to complete the syllabus well in advance to the Exam.

Have good preparation for model question papers and previous year question papers so that you will come to know the way how the questions are being asked in the Exam.

Wish you all the best.

3) Interview

The Qualifications Required for Civil services Exam are :

** The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

** Final year candidates can also apply.

** No specific percentage is required.

** Age Limit :

So , it will be better for you to complete graduation first.

Re: How to become an IAS officer having completed 10th standard?

No for IAs officer you have completed first complete your garduation part
and or For IAS, one has to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

The selection procedure will be by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main examination
-Interview

In order to appear for IAS, one should have completed his graduation from a recognized university.

One should be in the age group of 21-30 years. Relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of other categories.

As you have just completed 10th standard, my suggestion will be join 10+2 and try to get percentage of marks at 10+2 and gain subject knowledge.

Foe becoming an IAS officer firstly you should learn all syllabus of class 11th and 12th. After passing 12th class if you get good marks, you can take coaching for IAS because you have to clear a test for this and one more thing i want to say that is the test for IAS is very tough so you have to work hard for this.

Re: How to become an IAS officer having completed 10th standard?

If you want to be an IAS officer in future, so please do not worry because to become IAS Officer the UPSC Civil services examination will be required to be qualified by you. After completion of 10th and 12th examination you will not be eligible for this UPSC examination because graduate candidates are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination, Stream does not matter because Science, Arts and Commerce all these stream candidates are eligible to apply for Civil services examination. So Its up to you what you have opt after completing your 10th examination and If you are from commerce stream then its not a issue. So Please Go with graduate degree course and then apply for the Civil Services examination. The age limit for the application to Indian administrative service is 30 years which is maximum.

The mode of selection is based on tests which will cover different areas of studies which the candidate can opt for. The candidates who get short listed in the written test will only go in for next stages of selection only like interview. The IAS is one of the most competitive examinations which is held through out the country. Hence there will be stiff competition.

yes you can give ias exam but only after completing graduation.
this is because for giving ias exam, the student must have done graduation in any field with at least 60% marks. the age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years which can increase to 35 years for sc/st students.
if you are having these qualifications, then only you can give the exam.
there will be three rounds in the exam. firstly, you will have to give the preliminary exam. this exam will be of objective questions.
after qualifying in that exam, you will have to give the main exam, which will be in written form.
after passing both the exams, you will be called for the personal interview.
after passing that interview, you will become an ias officer.

IAS is Indian Administrative Service which is conducted by UPSC and it is held every year.

You cannot apply for the exam after 10th its not possible as you must definitely have a degree in any discipline as it is very important.

The candidates must have satisfy the eligibility criteria's for applying for the exam.

Eligibility:
  • The candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidates must have a age limit of 21-30 years.
  • The candidates must have a degree from a recognized university.
  • The candidates can apply for the exam even they are writing their final degree exam.

The candidates are selected in 3 stages:

Preliminary exam.
Main exam
Interview.

I would say you better complete your respected +2 and then choose a appropriate degree and then apply for the exam, then only you will be eligible.

Re: How to become an IAS officer having completed 10th standard?

You are in 10th standard...so you have lots of time to prepare yourself for IAS.

Because to become an IAS you should have completed your graduation first in any stream from any recognized university....that is the only educational criteria....

You can take any course as your graduation course.

Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years.
[33 years for Sc/ST]

final year graduate students are also eligible for IAS.

But if selected, then final years students have to show their certificate of passing at the time of interview.

you need to have very strong knowledge in current affairs and social issues.
