Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

Answer depends on the following points:
1. If you think that you have very strong hold on all the subjects and has a sound base then coaching classes for IIT-JEE may not be necessary.
2. Otherwise you should get proper guidance and should attend coaching classes for cracking IIT-JEE.

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

if i must say the truth then let me tell you that it solely depends on you. If you are able to understand the topics of the syllabus on your own and do at least 60% of the sums on your own then you don't need to join a good coaching center.

But if you have trouble in understanding either some or all of the topics, have trouble in solving the sums and are unable to catch up with time management(which plays a huge role during the exam), then it would be best for you to join a good coaching center like FIITJEE.

If you want to do it alone then you should start from the very first day of class XI. you should develop interest in the subject and work very hard, only then you will be able to pass IITJEE

best of luck!!!

Dear Friend,
Though the coaching classes can help you by giving tips and tricks to you and that can help us in saving the time during exam and also help you by giving enough exams and practices but it fully depends on the your's mentality because if you have a great concept and you are very much hard working and talented, then you have no need any coaching classes.

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

If your basic concepts are very clear right from class 5-6th till your 12th grade, then it should not be very difficult for you to cleat IIT JEE, but if you feel that you require a proper guidance and a look after so that you can be familier with the pattern of questions asked and can manage your time well, then you should go for a coaching which is reputated and renowned in this field.

Some good coaching centres are :

Bansal Kota
Resonance
Brilliant Tutorials
FIITJEE
etc

won't say that it's impossible to pass the exam without joining coaching classes but it will not be an intelligent move. For better career you must select the best option available and for IIT JEE, coaching classes are the same.

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

Coaching classes are of great help when it comes to preparation of IITJEE.
They make our preparation easier in the following ways:

1. They have a well simplified course which helps us in getting the max. possible result from the least effort.

2. they provide us with the most eligible faculty , so that our doubts can be cleared with ease.

3. They help in providing with valuable information when it comes to paper pattern and confidence to face the exams via regular tests.

Here are a few tips on how to start your preparation for IIT:

1. Try to give equal importance in all subjects.

2. As you are going for self study you will have to work a bit more harder than others. You should have someone to whom you can clear your doubts.

3. Try to solve a completely a single chapter completely from all books.

4. Revise what you have already learnt in regular intervals.

5. Try to solve as many problems as you can on paper rather than just reading its solution.

6 Books to refer

Physics: NCERT, H.C.Verma, D. C.Pandey
Chemistry: NCERT, O P TANDON, J. D. Lee, PRADEEP OBJECTVE CHEMISTRY.
MATHS: NCERT, R.D.SHARMA, ARIHANT Series, M. L. Khanna

7. Try to be very strong in Physics and Chemistry as they are easier in the IITJEE exam hence easier to score.

8. Try to prepare for selective topics for maths like vector alzebra, differential equations etc.

9. Few people may suggest you to go for I. E. IRODOV for physics but I would rather say that it is a complete waste of time when it comes to IITJEE preparation.
As the book's standard is far above IITJEE standard
.

All THE BEST

Coaching Classes for IIT-JEE

coaching classes are best when you don't have someone elder to you who can guide you in preparations..more than the teaching and the study material..it is about the competitive environment which you get in a coaching centre and you analyse yourself that where you stand amongst the best..so in my suggestion..take coaching if you don't have someone who can guide you else you can crack JEE through self-study also..

~Hope this helps.. ~

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

dear friend ,

for the top exam like iitjee , understanding of the concepts , depth study of the topic , practice of variety of the problems and concentration on the subjects are most important factors.

different than this the most important part is the self study.

self study is the most useful way crack such exams.
due to the self study of any subject one get confidence and firm in that particular subject.

but coachings are also useful.
because coaching centers provides test at every week for the perfect evaluation.
due to coaching one can get more sharper.

so the coaching with the self study can be useful for cracking iitjee exam.

thanks and best luck

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

I don't think that coaching classes are required to crack IIT-JEE , one can do it by self study in a proper way and in a proper diretion.

But in the caoching classes the teachers teach about how to prepare for the exam and how to score good marks in the entrance exam and in the baord exam, they give tips & tricks to apply in the exam.

if you don't want to join caoching classes then its your wish..you can do it by yourself..all the best..

phsics: hc verma - concepts of physics , dc pandey- arihant all subjective books , ie irodov - problems in physics

chemistry: op tandon (all three topics), ms chouhan for organics problems , arihant's organic chemistry(do not try out foreign books as they take much more time to understand)

maths : arihant all subjective books , ml khanna, rd sharma

after you solve all these books with minimum help and with less doubts , cracking iit would a joke for you ,
if you fell it difficult you can go for material of "vidyalankar" it is the best for those who take more tiime to understand it.
test series of brilliant tutorials and fiitjee is very good..
do not buy course material of fiitjee as it is just a collection of problems from "arihant".
take mtg's last year question paper so as you can get to actually what is meant by jee questions..
but what about test series ,are they really helpful?

if your base is strong in 11th and 12th then it is not needed to do coaching only hard work and regular study and practise of model test papers is sufficient. what matters is self study so study and work hard to crack iit , do self study.

It is possible to clear IIT-JEE with self study, but the students who cleared the exam in such a fashion is very low.

Almost all toppers and persons who all cleared IIT-JEE can be found to take coaching.
So better take coaching.

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

Hi,

I think you should join classes for preparation of iit-jee examination,
because a reputed coaching classes have experienced teachers and they can guide you through the difficult topics.
For giving this examination the concepts must be clear in your mind and you must be able to solve any type of problems related to that particular topic.
So if you join any good coaching classes then you can have those topics clear in your mind and then it will be easy for you to crack iit-jee.
If you join any good coaching classes then they may also provide you study materials and other question papers to solve and this may help you a lot.
If you try to study by yourself then there may be some topics which you may miss.
Thus it is good to join the coaching classes.

Re: Are coaching classes required to pass iit-jee?

its depends...Remember for any chance of cracking iit-jee the very important thing that is required is Self-Study and that too sincerely...If you get into reputated coaching classes ,then also you may not be able to crack iit -jee if you dont put in your own sincere efforts...coaching centre are only helpful to guide you into a right path and to help to maintain time and solve your doubts...join a good coaching centre does not guarantee you a good IIT-JEE rank...

but still if you want join then you can go for bansal tutorials or fitjee coaching classes...
