Master of Business Administration (MBA) 2. Master of Computer Applications (MCA) 3. M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. 1. M.B.A. and M.C.A. : The candidate applying for T.A.N.C.E.T. M.B.A. / M.C.A. should be a graduate from a recognized university of any discipline. Even candidates in their final year of their graduation course can also apply for T.A.N.C.E.T. M.B.A. / M.C.A.. In the case of T.A.N.C.E.T. M.C.A., the candidate should have studied statistics/mathematics at their diploma/+2 level or graduation. 2. M. Tech / M.E : The candidate should be a B. Tech / B.E graduate in the respective disciple, in which the candidate wishes to do M. Tech / M.E. Even candidates in the final year of their graduation course can also apply for T.A.N.C.E.T. examination. 3. M. Plan / M. Arch : The candidate should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in planning/architecture. Even candidates in their final year of their graduation/post-graduation course can also apply. good luck |

Re: Am I eligible for TANCET MCA after studying commerce, accountancy and computer science at Higher Secondary Level? dear friend, TANCET exam is conducted by Anna university on behalf of Tamil Nadu govt. for admission in master degree courses like - MBA/MCA/M.tech.. Eligibility for TANCET exam for MCA course:----- ------------------------------------------------ 1.Candidate must have complete the bachelor's degree in any trade , but must have done 12th class with maths or stats as compulsory subject.. 2.Candidate must have secure 50% aggregate through out the bachelor's degree course.. SC/ST candidates must have secure 45% aggregate through out the bachelor's degree.. 3.Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. As you have done 12th class without maths or stats then you are not eligible for the exam.. All the best.. |

The detailed information brochure for TANCET conducted by the Anna University is available in the following webpage: http://www.annauniv.edu/tancet2012/booklet.pdf. I am reproducing the eligibility conditions for MCA therefrom: A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination (a) 10+2+3/4 years pattern with Mathematics at +2 level (or) (b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern You may note from the above that it does not matter in which subject you have taken your degree. However, you should have taken Mathematics at Higher Secondary level. If you had complied with this, then you are eligible. |

To apply for this examination,the candidate have to completed graduate degree with mathematics in higher secondary level then only the candidate are eligible to apply and the candidate must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in their examination.5% relaxation is given to the reserved categories(i.e that means the candidate need to secure at least 45% aggregate marks in their examination). So,according to the eligibility criteria you are not eligible to apply for MCA examination but if you are interested you can apply for MBA examination. MBA eligibility :- the candidate have to completed bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for reserved categories). Apart from that, you must have scored a minimum of 50% in your bachelors degree program, which is relaxed upto 5% for candidates belonging to Sc/St category. Since you didn't had Mathematics in your higher secondary level, you will not be considered eligible to take the test. For more information, refer to the official website of Anna University. |
