Re: Any exam to join Indian Navy course? There are two exams for joining Indian Navy. 1. NDA(National Defense Academy) exam. 2. CDS(Combined Defense Services) exam. The eligibility criteria required for both NDA and CDS exams is as follows:- For NDA, 12th standard with PCM(Physics, Chemistry and Maths) from any recognized board. For CDS, bachelor degree with any stream from any recognized university. Age:- 16.5-19.5 years(NDA) and 19-25 years(CDS). Indian nationality. Sex:- Male(NDA) and Both male and female(CDS). Physically fit. Mentally strong. Marital status:- Unmarried. |

Re: Any exam to join Indian Navy course? Hi There, I am glad to see that you are interested in joining the Indian navy and serving our country as a soldier. You can join Indian Navy by cracking any of these two exams. 1. NDA Examination 2. CDS Examination Both these exams are conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission. NDA Examination is held for candidates who have passed or appearing in 12th standard. CDS Examination is for candidates who have secured a Bachelor`s degree in any stream from Government Recognized University. So, The choice is upto you and your educational qualifications. You may apply for the exam you are eligible for and try to crack it to get entrance in Indian Navy. This is the information I have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Requirements to Eligible for NDA Exam or Indian Navy, You should have passed 12th standard in PCM subjects from central/State board or recognized school There is no percentage limit mentioned for this exa If you are appearing in 12th then you can lso apply.Your age must be between 16.5 to 19 year. You must be citizen of India |

You must have passed your 12th std with science stream. 2. CDSE :- conducted by UPSC. Age limit - 19 to 23years. You must have passed your graduation with science stream from any recognized university. |

Re: Any exam to join Indian Navy course? dear friend, After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Navy.As you are a diploma graduate then you are also very much eligible for Indian Navy.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply. You can also apply for NDA. There generally two examination are held for NDA, one is NDA-1 and another is NDA-2.You can also attempt both this two exam. Selection Procedure for Indian Navy through NDA: ------------------------------------------------ The selection process for NDA contain 3-stages-> 1. Written Exam 2. Interview 3. Medical test. Mathematics - Maximum marks is 300 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs. 2. General Ability Test - Maximum marks is 600 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs. The UPSC notification for CDS examination clearly states the upper and lower limit of date of birth for different academies.
