Re: Requirements for joining Air Force? Dear sir , I have a FAA CPL liscence , and I have a higher diploma in administration from the university of Sunderland . Iam 23 years of age (1989) . I have a valid FAA class 1 medical certificate with 260 hrs on the log book . I have a single and multi commercial liscence .What exams do I have to appear for in order to be selected to fly for the Indian Air Force ? And I eligible age wise ? I'm not looking for a heavy pay , I just want to serve my country . Please guide me appropriately . Thanks in advance . |

Qualification : Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with Science, Arts OR 3 years Diploma in Engineering in any stream Age : Born between 01 January 1991 and 28 February 1995 Medical Standards : Height :Minimum acceptable height : 152.5 cm, Chest : Minimum range of expansion : 5 cm, Vision : 6/36 each eye., Correctable with spectacles : at least 6/9 each eye., Diopteric power : not exceeding +3.5 Training : Initial Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) will be provided at Airmen Training School, Belgaum (Karnataka) for 12 weeks. After it Trade Training will be provided. Selection Procedure : Written Test : Test will be held during September 2011. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : those who pass written test will undertake Physical Fitness Test. It consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 8 min., Interview : Those who pass both the written and PFT will be called for interview. |

Dear , Sir, You did not have mention here about your current qualification. there are many ways , for making carrier in Indian air force. after 12th clss, you can apply for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY),through this examination , one can apply for all branches of the INDIAN FORCE .  There are mainly three branches in the Indian force- 1.NAVAL WING 2.AIR FORCE WINGS 3.MILITARY BRANCH. For apply in air & naval wing, you must have subjects PHYSICS & MATHS. also you must have scored at least 60% in 12th standard.the age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years. After graduation,----  You can apply through CDSE (combined defense services exam),. the age limit for this examination is 19-23 years. also you must have Indian citizen ship & having marital status UNMARRIED. THE EDUCATIONAL qualification for this examination is , you must have graduation degree from a recognized college with the subjects PHYSICS & MATHS. |

Though I give you a list of basic requirements to join in air force.. To join in Air force you have to appear in exams like- CDS, UES, AFCAT.. Eligibility for CDS exam:- *The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade but must have maths and physics in 12th.. *The age should be in between 19-23 years. Eligibility for UES:- *The candidate must have complete the bachelor degree in engineering course with 60% aggregate... *The age should be in between 18-28 years. Eligibility for AFCAT exam:- You can appear in AFCAT exam to join in different post in Air force like- Flying branch, Technical branch, Ground duty branch.. For Flying branch :- *The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade with the 60% aggregate, and must have physics and maths in 12th... *The age should be in between 19-23 years. For Technical branch:- *The candidate must have complete the bachelor degree in engineering field with 60% aggregate. *The age should be in between 18-28 years. For Ground duty branches:- *The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade with 60% aggregate.. *The age should be in between 20-23 years. So, go for it.. All the best. |

National Defence Academy-You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. 2. Flying and Ground Duty Branches-You should be a graduate. 3. Technical Branches- Only Graduate Engineers can apply. |

As you have not mentioned your education qualification,so i am mentioning eligibility criteria for Air Force after 12th class and also after the Graduation course. To Join in Indian AirForce after 12th class,then you should appear for NDA exam.To Join in Indian Air Force after graduation,then you should appear for CDS exam. Both NDA and CDS exam are conducted by UPSC exam every year twice. For more details,then see this information mentioned below. Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam: Education qualification: Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream. Age Limit: Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years. Citizenship: Indian NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education. Eligibility for CDS examination: Educational Qualifications: For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent. For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering. For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering. Age limitation is between 16.5-19 years with no relaxation. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it. More details:- www.upsc.gov.in. Thanks. |

Here i am providing the various modes through which one can make his entry into the flying branch of Airforce. 1) Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) Eligibility : -Unmarried male -Belong to age group of 19-23 years -Should of Indian -Should have completed his graduation from a recognized university (with Physics, Mathematics, at 10+2) -Final year students can also apply 2)National Cadet Corps Special Entry (Through CO NCC Unit / DG NCC) As a air Wing Senior division 'C' certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps, you can apply to flying branch.
