Airforce can be join by appearing in NDA examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Minimum educational qualification for this exam is to be 10+2 passout with any of the stream.

Graduates students are also eligible to join Indian Airforce by appearing in CDS examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

In order to join in the flying branch of Air force, one should have completed his graduation.

Here i am providing the various modes through which one can make his entry into the flying branch of Airforce.

1) Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)

Eligibility :
-Unmarried male
-Belong to age group of 19-23 years
-Should of Indian
-Should have completed his graduation from a recognized university (with Physics, Mathematics, at 10+2)
-Final year students can also apply

2)National Cadet Corps Special Entry (Through CO NCC Unit / DG NCC)
As a air Wing Senior division 'C' certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps, you can apply to flying branch.

Remaining eligibility criteria would be the same as the above mode of entry

Requirements for the Indian Air Force:-

10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry maths with a minimum of 55-60% marks.

Age limitation is between 16.5-19 years with no relaxation.

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it.

Hey friend,

Yeah you can write the exam as you have done your degree.As far regarding joining in Indian air force you can write the NDA or CDS exam.In the case of NDa the minimum eligibility needed for joining in Air force is a pass from +2 with physics and mathematics as subjects whereas for CDS exam you will also need a pass out from +2 with physics and mathematics as subjects .

You can write the exam like NDA and CDS where they have the option that the candidates can get into Indian Air force.As far regarding these exams the candidates must be eligible for the exam.The main statement that both the exams involve is that the candidates must be a unmarried male candidates for both the exams.

Eligibility for NDA:

1. The candidates must be a citizen of India.
2. The candidates must be a unmarried male candidate.
3. The candidates must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years.
4. The candidates must have done their +2 with physics and mathematics as subjects.

The candidates must be physically fit while appearing for the exam as it is mentioned in the physical standards.

Eligibility for CDS:

1. The candidates must be a citizen of India.
2. The candidates must be a unmarried male candidate.
3. The candidates must have a age limit of 19-23 years.
4. The candidates must have a degree from a recognized university with English and mathematics as subjects.

If you satisfy the above criteria for joining in Indian Air force then you can apply for the exam.

As you have not mentioned your education qualification,so i am mentioning eligibility criteria for Air Force after 12th class and also after the Graduation course.
To Join in Indian AirForce after 12th class,then you should appear for NDA exam.To Join in Indian Air Force after graduation,then you should appear for CDS exam.

Both NDA and CDS exam are conducted by UPSC exam every year twice.

Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam:
Education qualification: Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream.
Age Limit: Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.
Citizenship: Indian
NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education.

Eligibility for CDS examination:

Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.
Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.

CDS-I exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 29th Oct 2011 to 28th Nov 2011.
Exam will held on 12th Feb 2012.
CDS-II exam notification for this year:

There are several posts you can apply for. It depends on your qualification. The required qualification regarding specific posts are as follows:
1. National Defence Academy-You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.
2. Flying and Ground Duty Branches-You should be a graduate.
3. Technical Branches- Only Graduate Engineers can apply.

You did not have mention here about your current qualification.
there are many ways , for making carrier in Indian air force.
after 12th clss, you can apply for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY),through this examination , one can apply for all branches of the INDIAN FORCE .


There are mainly three branches in the Indian force-
1.NAVAL WING
2.AIR FORCE WINGS
3.MILITARY BRANCH.

For apply in air & naval wing, you must have subjects PHYSICS & MATHS.
also you must have scored at least 60% in 12th standard.the age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years.

I have a FAA CPL liscence , and I have a higher diploma in administration from the university of Sunderland . Iam 23 years of age (1989) . I have a valid FAA class 1 medical certificate with 260 hrs on the log book . I have a single and multi commercial liscence .What exams do I have to appear for in order to be selected to fly for the Indian Air Force ? And I eligible age wise ?
