Re: Can I apply for IAS entrance exam? I have scored low in graduation To apply in I.A.S. examination, you need to complete your graduation. You can complete your graduation from any discipline or with any subject. Only passing mark in graduation is required for this examination. Low score does not matters. If you have passing marks in graduation you can apply for I.A.S. examination. ELIGIBILITY:- EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- - You must have completed your graduation degree from recognized university. - Candidates who have completed their graduation from professional/technical courses can also apply for this test. - Final year students are also eligible to apply. - Only passing mark in graduation is required. AGE LIMIT:- Minimum age required is 21 years. Candidate should not attain the age of 30 years. There is also relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST, O.B.C candidates For SC/ST- 5 years of age relaxation, i.e. age limit- 21-35 years. For O.B.C-3 years of age relaxation, i.e. age limit- 21-33 years. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:- Number of attempts for general category is 4 Number of attempts for SC/ST- Unlimited Number of attempts for O.B.C- 7 The candidate must be Indian. The candidate must be physically fit. SELECTION PROCEDURE OF I.A.S. :- The selection procedure for I.A.S. is divided into 3 steps. * Preliminary Exam * Main Exam * Interview |

Re: Can I apply for IAS entrance exam? I have scored low in graduation Yes, you can apply for IAS entrance exam as there is no percentage criteria to apply for this. There is no specific entrance exam for IAS. IAS-INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer you have to appear and crack Civil Service Exam. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years of age. There is upper age relaxation for SC/ST/PH candidate up to 5 years and for OBC up to 3 years. The selection is through three phases:- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary exam comprises of all objective type questions. Civil Service Main examination comprises of descriptive type questions as prescribed from the syllabus. The examination is Conducted in 2 stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination, Preliminary examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in Preliminary examination. But Main examination is Descriptive and there are 9 Papers in main examination. If you have cracked the Preliminary examination, only then you are eligible for Main examination.
