IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.Only ECE , CSE , Mechanical, Civil branches of engineering are eligible for IES. M.Sc degree in physics, radio physics are also eligible to IES. The candidates who are completed or in final year in bachelor degree eligible to write IES exam.Age of the candidate should be in between 21 to 30. Last date of application is 7th february 2011. The date of examination is scheduled to be held at 14th May 2011 across 3 days. Minimum Educational Qualifications are: The candidate must hold a engineering degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Age :- 21 years to 30 years, age relaxation for reserved candidates as per Govt guide lines i.e 3 years in upper limit for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |

Final year students are allowed to appear provided they clear their exams at the time of joining. There is a minimum age requirement of 21years. You can purchase the forms the post office near you. These forms should be available from the 19th February. Make sure that you send filled form at the earliest so that it reaches the authorities by 21st March. |
