Can a B.Tech ECE student apply for IES exam? Should I apply online or offline for the exam?
Sir
i am a b.tech final year student (electronics and communication branch). Can i apply for this exam? If yes, i would like to know whether i should apply only through the upsc site or through the application available at post office?? |

Sure you are eligible for the exam. Final year students are allowed to appear provided they clear their exams at the time of joining. There is a minimum age requirement of 21years. You can purchase the forms the post office near you. These forms should be available from the 19th February. Make sure that you send filled form at the earliest so that it reaches the authorities by 21st March.

Yes you are eligible for applying for this exam. the IES exam is eligible for the following branches: 1. electrical 2. mechanical 3.electronics and telecommunication. 4. civil you can get the form from the post office or the upsc website. Both of them is possible,you can do it according to your convenience. regards. |

absolutely yes you can apply for this exam:-) you can apply both online and offline....
1.if applying offline, the last date of receipt of offline applications is 14th February, 2011. 2.The Online Applications can be filled upto 7th February, 2011 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled. all the best for ur exam:-) |

Hi,
Yes you are eligible for the IES exam since you are a student of the Electronics and Telecommunication branch. You can apply online by logging onto: www.upsconline.nic.in Fees: Rs.50/- for general candidates. No fees reqd for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates. Last date of application is 7th february 2011. The date of examination is scheduled to be held at 14th May 2011 across 3 days. You can pay the fees in cash at any branch of the State Bank of India across India. I have attached the notification of IES for your reference. Good luck! |

hi friend..
happy to inform you that u can apply for these exam u can even try after getting ur degree.. but the age limit is between 21 to30.. but for sc,st,obc some relaxation are there for them regarding the age and the fee ... to apply for it you can get ur form through online or near by post offices.. fore more information u can log into www.upsc.gov.in hope these information helps you.. thank you.. |

Yes, you are eligible .
Minimum Educational Qualifications are: The candidate must hold a engineering degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Age :- 21 years to 30 years, age relaxation for reserved candidates as per Govt guide lines i.e 3 years in upper limit for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |
