Re: Am I eligible for NDA exam after completing 12th commerce without Mathematics? Yes of course !!! NDA Stands for National Defence Academy Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Twice in a year. To apply for NDA examination then you have to completed your 12th examination from a recognized University or equivalent qualification. So,if you not have mathematics in your 12th examination then you are not eligible to apply for Naval and Air force Academy.Because these examinations only for Science stream not for commerce candidates. But you are eligible to apply for Indian Army course to join this course,then you need to finished your intermediate(12th) with pass marks from a reputed School or equivalent qualification.Your age should be between 16.5 years and 19 years at the time of appearing for NDA examination and there is no relaxation given to the reserved categories. Those who are completed 12th examination or those who are pursing in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for NDA examination. The candidate must be physically fit for according to the physical standards of National Defence Academy Examination. This year notification was already published in the official website and employment news papers.So,please check out the official website. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM 1,Students who have passed 10+2 OR Equivalent qualification are eligible for applying in NDA. BUT If you have done your 12th with compulsory subjects maths and physics than you are Eligible to apply in all the branches – NAVY,ARMY,AIR FORCE. OR If you have done your class 12th with commerce or art stream than you are eligible for ARMY only. 2, Students age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years. 3, unmarried male candidate are eligibile to apply . Selection Procedure The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages : • A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission. Subject Code Duration Max Marks Mathematics 01 2 1/2 hours 300 General Ability 02 2 1/2 hours 600 900 • An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities ( Intelligence and personality test ). • A medical examination by a Service Medical Board. Yes, you are eligible to apply for NDA examination after completing 12th with commerce stream without mathematics or even if you are currently doing 12th. National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is conducted by the UPSC government which are for three sectors of NDA : > Army > Navy > Air Force Air Force wing and Navy wing are for those candidates who have completed 12th with science stream. Therefore, you can apply only for the Army wing of NDA. General Eligibility Criteria for NDA examination : > You should have completed 12th from a recognised university. > Your age must be between 16 & 1/2 to 19 years. > You must be an unmarried male candidate. > You must be an Indian. > You should be physically fit. Re: Am I eligible for NDA exam after completing 12th commerce without Mathematics? National Defense Academy (NDA) allows only male candidates to apply for the NDA entrance exam. Candidates who desire to join the Army wing of the NDA must have a pass in class 12 or its equal from any subject stream. The certification must be from a recognized board or university. Those who aspire to join the Naval Wing and the Air Force must have a pass in class 12 in science. Candidates who are going to appear for the class 12 or its equal exam are also suitable to submit an application for this exam. As to get admitted into the Naval Academy and National Defense Academy, the candidates also need to pass in the physical fitness test, as part of the selection process. Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam. Physical standards required for NDA entrance examination are as follows- Height should be at least 157.5 cms & 162.5cms for Air Force wing. Chest should be fully expanded. The fully expanded chest should not be less than 81cms. There should not be any disease of bones or joints of the body. should not be overweight or under weight. He should not have weakly constitution. Your vision in one eye must be perfect - 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6. |

Yes, you are eligible for NDA , but you also have to fulfill some other criterion: Eligibility criteria For Army Wing of NDA:- Candidate must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Other criteria: 1. The candidate should be between 16-1/2 to 19 years of age 2. Your marital status should be single. 3. You should be a citizen of India. 4. The candidate should be MALE. If you are interested in NDA Then please go through these criteria details below : 1.Academic qualification : The candidate should complete 12th standard examination 2.Age limitation : The age of the candidate must be within 16.5 to 19 years. 3.Nationality : The candidate must be an Indian 4.Eyesight criteria : Eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6. 5.Height criteria : The height of the candidate should be minimum 165 cm. But you are not eligible to join for Indian Navy and Indian Air Force because these examinations only for Science stream candidates. NDA stands for National Defense Academy.NDA Examination are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings: • Indian Army • Indian Navy • Indian Air Force Eligibility Criteria: >>> The candidate must have to pass 12th class from a recognized university. >>> And the final year of 12th class students also to apply for this NDA Examination. >>> The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years. >>> The candidate must be single and medically fit. The NDA I Examination 2012 date is published and you can apply this exam. The important dates for NDA I Examination 2012: Date of Notification: 31-12-2011 Last Date of Receipt of Form: 30-01-2012(Monday) Date of Exam: 15-04-2012(Sunday).
